Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Situated on the banks of Lake Albert in Meningie, the Lions Park has made most of the position and developed a magnificent community resource. Starting just north of the boat ramp with the Birdman: Bushrangers of the Coorong – a life sized emu that is a popular photograph spot as the emu can be mounted. From there a meandering concrete path follows the banks of the lake providing a great walking track with stopping points along the way. A walkway and platform takes you right in the middle of a group of rushes. Seats and some with tables are scattered so that a stop can be made to look at the beauty of the lake or just ponder the meaning of life.

Other points of interest include a creative children’s playground, the boat “Stormbuddy” firmly entrenched in a sea of sand, electric BBQ’s and varying seating available, an outdoor gym, the Lion’s wishing well and the magnificent wooden sculpture of a pelican.

It was great taking an early morning stroll through the park, enjoying the many attractions along the way. Several days later we passed the park which was “packed” with families and others relaxing and enjoying the facilities.

Return? As stop point, yes as there are coffee places and a bakery nearby.

Nice lakeside park, but then again that is basically what Meningie is all about. Good facilities, and also good for watersports. Further, also a nice place to stop on a long road trip.

This is a great place for a rest stop - the toilets were very clean and the area has lots of benches to sit and have a snack or lunch. There are some paths to stretch the legs that take in the lake. Lots of birds in the trees when we visited.

Stopped here for lunch as part of our GOR trip.
Get some fish n chips(better than UK!), sit by the water and watch all the pelicans/cockatoos/seagulls.
Definitely worth a stop here and have a wander around the memorial park too. Lovely little town.

We visited the other day and even though our kids are a little old for a playground, after a while they warmed up and had a go on the exercise equipment and an explore on the playground.
Toilets nice and convenient and plenty of seats and tables in fantastic condition to sit at.

This is a small park with some children facilities, toilets and some benches.
It's good for a 5-minute rest, but that's about it.

I liked that park. It had a lot of gorgeous flowers and a path near the Cooring.

There was a lot of historical content. That was interesting!

We saw a heron and a bit later several Pelicans. They were beautiful!

There was a playground as well, with a real boat.

The Cooring was reflecting the sunshine.

I enjoyed that walk

Worthwhile to enjoy!

The kids loved this place. It has a large playground that is well kept with lots of equipment to entertain while mum and dad sit on the wooden sun beds! I've never seen greener grass - very nice!
