If you like birds you will enjoy this tour. If you like understanding eco systems you will enjoy this tour. If you like a bit of adventure (but not over the top) you will like this tour. If you like seeing native flora and fauna in natural habitat you will enjoy this tour. If you enjoy a thoughtfully put together and yummy individual snack box you will like this tour. If you enjoy a tour with a passionate guide who LOVES and respects the Coorong then Glen fits the bill. If you care about safety and competency then this is the tour for you. If you want coffee or tea at the half way point then take your thermos and store it in a box on the boat. Soar with the birds, gaze at the ever changing clouds in the sky, marvel at the dunes and the vegetation and discover the seals. Fall in love with The Coorong. Thank you Glen and Tracey for a wonderful day. Don’t think twice about going and remember to hang on. Joy and Mark

My partner and I wanted an adventure and boy did we get one. Starting with feeding fish to 30 or so pelicans, then a wild boat ride across the Coorong, paddling ashore and then climbing an enormous sand dune. The view from the top back across the Coorong was outstanding, as was the one out to sea. Glen is a very knowledgeable and committed environmentalist, able to show us animal tracks and explain what is needed to rejuvenate the waterways. Then a wild ride back again topped off with a bit of a snack prepared by Traci. A fantastic day out all round. They do say that you need to be reasonably fit to climb the dune, and I'm sure that's true. I consider myself 'reasonably fit' so had no trouble although I'm 71 years old. Loved every minute of it. If you want something a little out of the ordinary you need go no further.

We love it when people are wowed. So glad you enjoyed the trip and got the compliments. The pelicans put on a good show and because they know Glen you can get up very close without scaring them off. We hope you come back for another wild ride soon.

The very different boat style, the site, Glen's knowledge of the Coorongs, the tasting. The extraordinary and unique site, pristine surroundings were fabulous. At first I was a bit unsure about the boat, as it is rather powerful, very quickly did I get used to it. Standing might be your best option, trust me it was the greatest way to enjoy the tour. In the wild. You will feel very privileged to discover the sites. The surroundings have so much to offer. The Fauna and Flora. Glen your host is a very keen and knowledgeable fisherman, who shares his passion for the Coorongs. Must be physically fit and comfortable with a bit of speed. This is not a cruise along a river. It is a fabulous wildside Tour with a delicious tasting to finish off a fantastic tour on the water and on land. You never know what is around the corner. Make sure you take your camera and a beanie.

I am so pleased you enjoyed your trip. Yes there is speed - depending on the wind conditions it makes the ride smoother. To maximise your time in the best spots Glen likes to get you there quickly and he is able to talk without competing with the motor. We do try to emphasize on our website that this is not an armchair ride. Glen has 30 years experience motoring on the Coorong and endeavors to make the ride as comfortable as possible. Someone did compare the experience to the Shotover River jet boat in New Zealand. Having done that myself there are similarities, but with the added benefit of shore based excursions and no rocky cliffs! The Wildside is definitely fun, food and adventure. We are also developing other tours that focus on photography and environmental science. Alternatively you can charter us for 1/2 or full days and we can do whatever you want.

Wow exceeding expectations is always a great outcome. Glen and I spent many months planning and coming up with tours that would be of interest and added extras that give value for money. I think that most of our guests appreciate the authenticity of the experience because we are the owners, tour operators and catch and prepare our own seafood. I hope we can exceed your expectations again one day.
