Right from our welcome cup of coffee through to drop-off at our vehicle, Glen and Tracy's warm hospitality and depth of knowledge about the Coorong ensured our time in this magnificent seascape was memorable. Their passion for the Coorong and its preservation was infectious. The tour was wonderful balance of observing nature and its interactions from both water and the dunes. Despite it being a windy day with a high chance of rain, we remained dry - but still got the rainbow across the Coorong! Highly recommend this tour for all ages.

Sharing our home and life is all part of the experience. Some of our fondest travel memories are the people we have met.
The star of the show is the natural beauty of the Coorong wilderness and we are the support act.

Seeing the Coorong on this boat tour was a delightful experience. Our excellent guide, Glen, is a local with long experience of the Coorong, its birds, vegetation, history and formation.
We were well prepared for the trip with advance emails and safety information before we went on board. The four hours of the boat ride were good value for money, and we learnt a lot about this unique and beautiful part of SA that we had never known before.
We saw a large number of water birds up close, and raptors hovered frequently in the skies above the sand hills. At the barrage, the NZ fur seals were in attendance as anticipated. A short and accessible walk into some lower sand hills revealed some of the fresh water soaks and the prolific vegetation they can support, and was also where we enjoyed a delicious morning tea prepared by Tracy, who works behind the scenes with Glen to enable these excellent tours to happen.
if you are going to the Coorong for a break, this is a tour not to be missed.
We'll be telling our friends about it for sure.

The tour with Glen was reminiscent of a David Attenborough documentary: it started off with fascinating insights into the Coorong's flora and fauna, then supported our understanding and appreciation of the intricately interwoven relationships in the various ecosystems we visited, and then filled us in on the vulnerability of those ecosystems to radical changes thanks to human decision-making.
It was informative, entertaining, and will continue to provoke discussion long after the tour is over.
Our thanks to Tracy too, for all the behind the scenes work of managing bookings, preparing a scrumptious morning tea, and many other tasks that go along with running a terrific small business such as this one.

What a review! Compared to David Attenborough! I am glad you found the tour so informative. Plus thanks for the shout out for the morning tea and all the work I do behind the scenes. I don't get out on the tours so I miss out on meeting the visitors like yourself. Thanks for the appreciation of what we do. We love sharing our part of the Coorong with everyone.

A really top day. Glen is very knowledgeable about the area and you can tell how much the Coorong means to him. He offers some very interesting perspectives about conservation and was generous with his time and knowledge. Lots of wonderful sights to be enjoyed and it is truly a bird paradise. Would highly recommend this tour

Glen is passionate and has a unique perspective. This has been developed over 30 years of being immersed in the ecosytem, his keen observations and inquiring mind. Plus he has networks of experts that he can pick their brains and fill in his knowledge gaps.

thankyou for your comments. Glen has become one of the leading Coorong environmentalists due to his keen observations and over 30 years of exploring the area on a daily basis. As he tells everyone " I have forgotten more than I know" ha ha

What an awesome day highly recommended and well worth the time to go with these guy's to experience one of the natural beauty's of Australia. The knowledge shared was excellent and the dining experience/ tasting at the end was wonderful well worth every cent and would do it again tomorrow

Had a fantastic tour on The Coorong with Glen. We were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour. Glen is very knowledgeable of the area and also entertaining and easy to chat too. As a pelican lover I was able to feed them which was incredible. Great communication with the booking and leading up to the day as well. Highly recommend touring a tour with Coorong Wildside Tours.

Thankyou for your comments. We loooove our beautiful pelicans and giving you an opportunity to be so close and interactive with them. The Coorong national Park is very easy to access by land but harder to get on the water. That is why we started our tour business. Makes the Coorong accessible for all. Have a great 2023.

An outstanding tour with local Coorong wild man Glen, who knows the waterways, bird life and wildlife like no other. My husband, brother and I thoroughly enjoyed our seabirds and seals tour, feasted with our eyes on the beautiful Coorong sites, worried about the Coorong’s climate change future and absorbed as much as we could of Glen’s exceptional knowledge about what can (and shouldn’t) be done to restore the area to its former ecological splendour. Tracey also prepared a lovely snack which we enjoyed atop a large Coorong sand dune. This tour has birds, emus, kangaroos, seals and insight aplenty on a personalised trip with all questions answered. This is the tour the locals recommend. Don’t miss it!

Had a great time on the Sandhill Explorer tour. Glen has great knowledge and experience of the Coorong so is able to provide a very authentic experience. Learnt a lot about the history of the area and the impact humans have had on the environment. Keen to come again sometime.
