Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped for a pit stop in Meningie and came across this Ostrich. Interesting reading about its history. Lovely views into the ocean.

Excellent views and a cool story behind this monument! Please read the sign near the ostrich, it’s a fascinating and hilarious part of history. A must see if you are passing by to take a nice picture and have a lovely picnic.

Must stop enroute Mt Gambier from Adelaide. Nice scenic lake view with a ostrich to get a few pictures clicked. Has nice play area for kids and a cafe across the road. Great place to stretch your legs specially for the kids.

What a hoot.
Take a seat on the Ostrich, and relive the story of the infamous Birdman of the Coorong.
It's a fun thing to do while you stop ans rest on the way between Adelaide and the Coorong Beaches.

Interesting history outlined at this site and we could even climb up for a photo!!! Don’t know if it’s really true or folk lore - but it was fun anyway.

What a great fun thing and very educational. The statue of the ostrich standing by the lake is great and the idea to make it easy to sit on is great and very sensible because everyone of course is going to try it. Loved reading about the Birdman of the Coorong on the boards beside it. Lovely location. Such a little thing to make such a great experience.
