The first thing that strikes.you are the views across their vineyards and down the vallley. Enter into a delightful old cellar door and a hearty welcome awaits you. The wines are scrumptious. Some very special and unusual reds. A Mataro, not usually allowed out alone, will fascinate your tongue. Then later the Hillside Shiraz, a graft of old block 6... More

This place is a classic, one of the early wineries in this great wine region. If you love a traditional big, bold Shiraz...this is the place to be. The Hilltop Shiraz is a beauty. Unfortunately, the legendary Block 6 Shiraz was not available for tasting when we visited, but, such is its reputation, we bought some anyway! Might need to... More

Try the Nero D'ablo and the new Rose. They are exquisite! Also Basket Pressed Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro and the fortifieds are equally splendid.

This would have to be one of the prettiest winery settings in the Vale. Has an awesome outlook over the valley. Staff were very friendly and helpful with their wines. Has some outdoor sitting areas where you can relax and take in the views. Wines are a little expensive though.

This winery has one of, if not the most beautiful, outlooks of all in McLaren Vale. The cellar door was hosting an art show when we visited and this made our visit all the more interesting. Kays makes one of the most delectable muscats I've ever tasted and this was what brought me back again with interstate visitors. They enjoyed... More

A must visit place every time I come to McLaren Vale. The so called new tasting area did not look that much different from the old one as the layout remains pretty much the same. The staff is still the friendly ones. Cannot leave without getting my favourite Block 6 and Rare Muscats.....

The location and views were fantastic and we loved the walk through the history of the 4 generations, it was really interesting! The blonde lady (Jenny?) was amazing! Such a friendly lady with great knowledge on the wines and the history. The wines were great too, especially the port and muscat! However, 1 staff member left us with a sour... More

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great wine, good times. The Tawney is my suggestion to try at this winery. They have a few choices.
