Overview
Throughout a guided tour we showcase to guests the behind-the-scenes intricacies of how a wine is crafted by the winemaker - our guests get to go where most wineries do not allow. At Shottesbrooke, guests can expect hands-on sensory experiences, barrel and finished wine tastings, and amazing opportunities to view our working winery operations up close.

Our tour is followed by sparkling on arrival and an incredible three-course dining experience at The Currant Shed. The Currant Shed's culinary team brings many years of experience to their kitchen. With varied experience across many regions around the world, they have the remarkable ability to translate the flavours of the land directly onto the plate using some of the Fleurieu, and South Australia's best produce, sourced from a raft of local suppliers. Each dish is handcrafted and has its own individual story.

At the upper end of Mclaren Vale, this is a must do stop. Bubbles are great and they have a good Pinot Noir. Save room for the Shiraz. The staff are great and it is a nice setting

Only half way through a tasting and the experience is amazing. Wines are great and the service is tops. Thank you Michelle, your knowledge of your products and service made the tasting an event in itself.

Went to this winery as part of a wine tour. Was the best one we went to. The wines were amazing. Chloe who did the tastings for our group was so knowledgeable. Was just a lovely pleasant experience. The money we paid towards the tasting also came off a purchase. Such great value for money in a beautiful location. Will definitely be visiting there again.

My wife and I visited the Shottesbrooke cellar door for a tasting after having enjoyed a splendid lunch at a nearby coastal restaurant. The winery is easily accessible but still far from the madding crowd, located off Bagshaws Rd in McClaren Flat. A beautiful cellar door set-up with luscious green grass for kids to play on and outside seating options under garden umbrellas for those who want to taste 'al fresco'. Inside the tasting room is airy and spacious, with a warm and friendly greeting on entry courtessy of our bubbly and knowledgable host Michelle. We were asked what we would like to try and started with the fizz, the scrumptious 100% chardonnay Blanc de Blancs. We enjoyed the other wines presented to us but were smitten by the bubbles and bought a half doz to take home! We had arrived reasonably late in the afternoon so will have to make a return visit to do justice to the rest of the list. A splendid way to see out a Sunday afternoon in the Southern Vales, and many thanks to our excellent host Michelle. Highly recommended.
