I am the founder of Gone AWOL and I have lived in Moana since 1976. I have travelled to or lived in over 70 countries and love meeting fellow travellers. I am fortunate to have been brought up in wine country and count the best wine makers and brewers in McLaren Vale as my friends. Luke was friendly, efficient and professional from the outset with booking of our trip right through to drop off at home. The venues we arranged with his help for wine and gin tastings, and lunch were all great - oh and beer! Maxwell's and Never Never Gin especially were both a hoot! All 8 of us would go again with Luke from Gone AWOL!

Luke was very easy to communicate with. I had a quick trip to visit Adelaide and he helped whip up an itinerary and was flexible as was temperamental weather. Unfortunately one of us couldn’t use the e bike so he followed the rest of us and took her on the bus. The bike track allowed me to see the Mclaren Vale in a way I hadn’t seen before. Beautiful tracks and the bikes were fun! I’d never been on one before

This was a fabulous tour and I would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Adelaide. Luke was super friendly, knew all the best spots and made sure our whole day went smoothly.

Luke was a fantastic guide! Provided some great local gems and we collaborated to make a great itinerary. Loved the wine, loved Nache (his dog), loved the people. Really appreciated the short video he made of the day too! Can't recommend enough!

We had a group tour of 8 and we did the cube , Down the Rabbit hole and then 3 fantastic wineries we would never had visited Luke was very knowledgeable and a great guy who was very personable and very patient. Would definitely recommend his tours.

Luke is a very pleasant and excellent tour guide! He has a lot of knowledge of the region and its wines. He is very accomodating and allows you to tailor the day as you see fit. We were all very happy with our day and are looking forward to booking another tour with him in the future. Also his dog nash is a great edition!

Just after a quote for 6 people to do an organised wine tour with maybe somewhere to have lunch.
I would prefer you to organise the vineyards as we have never visited the region.
We will be arriving in Port Adelaide off the Carnival spirit on the 29th FEB ETA 07.00 – ships ETD 21.00. Do you do pick ups off a ship?
We all prefer white wines and sparkling although I know the area is probably more known for its red wines, we would be happy with anything.
