Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a must visit if you like fruity wine at ridiculously low prices! Take your own (large!) container to buy in bulk, one of the few Cellar Doors that do this. The flavoured fortified wines are also unusual and plenty to choose from, essentially a gently flavoured port. As a previous reviewer said, the host (or hostess) are all family members so you are being served by someone with a real interest in the wines. If you are really lucky Tom will be on duty and will give you all the latest information on the vintage and will tell you how the wines are made if you want to know. However, you can just buy it and drink it!

Tinlins is a must for those who like good tasting inexpensive good value wine. Bring your own containers for eco-friendly non plastic great wine. Or try their variety of flavoured ports again at amazingly inexpensive prices. Wonderful with cheese & Crackers. You can try all the upmarket Cellar Doors but you will not get the same excellent value for money that you will get at Tinlins. And it is a family firm apparently so you will meet some of the owners. A MUST visit.

Our hostess in the Cellar Door had recently left working in the city to take over from her Dad with her Partner and we are happy to report that future of Tinlins is in safe hands. Excellent wine, sherry and port and by far the best value for money.

This is not a fancy winery, however the wines are very drinkable and the vermouth is excellent. We generally come here to get a 21 litter container of vermouth and it lasts all summer. Much cheaper than buying Cinzano at the local, and excellent quality, they have been making it for al long as I can remember.
Definitely a stopover if you are "doing the wineries" and one of the few that has not gone hipster or wannabe.
