Stopped here first up on a lovely wine tour. The place itself is amazing and has a really interesting history! We enjoyed our time here and the staff were lovely which always makes the experience better!

Not very friendly, wines average
Dec. 2020
On a wine tour with my husband, the first stop was Penny's Hill winery. We had no problems with signing in and sitting down for the tasting but it seemed like the person who was serving in there did not want to be there. He was not very friendly or knowledgeable about the wines we tasted. The wines were average and expensive. We would not be in a hurry to return

Unfriendly and snobby
Nov. 2020 • Friends
We were a group of friends, some new to it and some not on a winery tour and this was our least favourite and friendly. Granted we were a little bit drunk but we were all friendly and happy to be there until the staff were caught giving us disgraceful looks, felt very unwelcome. Oh and they give you the smallest amount ever to taste.

Lovely lunch
Dec. 2019 • Friends
We had a Christmas catch up with friends yesterday at Penny’s Hill. It was really lovely. The staff were great, however there were lots of functions there so it was very noisy. We have some delicious entrees and I have the Thai sweet potato soup with chicken, it was quite nice but was a little too creamy and did not have enough chicken. My partner had the steak and that was delicious, cooked to perfection. The wine was delicious.

Awesome tasting experience
Oct. 2019
Called in during the later hours of the October long weekend and were warmly welcomed by the knowledgable and friendly staff, and incredibly cheap tasting experience with high-quality wines. A wide variety of whites and reds, it was certainly a fantastic way to cap off our long weekend activities. Will definitely be returning but in the meantime, I'll just have to keep drinking my collection of their Sav Blanc!

Food was fantastic! It was fresh and the serves generous. The stand out dish for me was the mushroom tart, it was amazing!👌🏼Also don’t go past the pate, salmon and the chorizo...delicious! The service was really good, and definitely worth the short drive out for a long lunch in the most beautiful surroundings.

We're glad you had a great experience Antoinette. We have a new chef with a new menu, so there's been some fantastic changes in the restaurant. We hope to see you again!

Mid week lunch
May 2019 • Couples
We came here for lunch on a cold winter’s day. It was quiet which was expected for a Wednesday. We ordered a few bottles of wine to be sent to Brisbane. For lunch, we had the beef burgers with hand cut chips, it was so yummy! The chips were so crunchy!! It was our favourite winery we visited!
