Worth looking at all the associated buildings at the rear of the Visitors centre
Apr. 2021
At the rear of this information centre there is a very good historical collection housed in various buildings dotted around very pleasant lawns. Walkways to historic paddle steamers that are moored there.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of information available including maps. Souvenirs and local produce available. Parking area next door with plenty of parking. Can visit SS Marion while you are there.

Very helpful service

This is at the ferry end of the main street and is also the entry point for the paddle steamer Marion, the museum and the historic dry dock. The lady on duty was very helpful with maps, brochures and directions. Open every day, they run a booking service too and there’s also a small gift and souvenir shop.

Great centre with Mannum museum attached, excellent staff, very helpful.
To the ladies we spoke to on Monday the 29th July: There is no fascinating story to the limpid mines up the street. The gentleman who owns them bought them from a farmer near Portland Victoria. So there you go asked and answered.

As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by a very cheerful, friendly and helpful staff member who provided all the information I needed for my stay in Mannum. An interesting historical display is available and plenty of information brochures and maps to help plan your activities

Just finished our houseboat experience and wandered Mannum. Called in to the Info Centre and enjoyed the displays and the history records. The ladies were chatty, friendly, and joked with us - very nice experience. Recommend a visit there before heading out from Mannum
