We really enjoyed our 3.5hr tour of this amazing place. Lunch was perfect, the guides were excellent, the timing was good. We saw seals, pelicans, cape barren geese, cormorants, oyster catchers and many terns. The guide was a wealth of knowledge about the European history of the area which was interesting. The only thing missing was more information about the... More

I have wanted to explore the Coorong for a long time but never considered that it could be done with such comfort. The Spirit of the Coorong is a very comfortable boat with inside/ outside options including top deck for great views. The skipper/chef is very knowledgeable as is the guide for the two ( optional) walks. I certainly learnt... More

We went on this trip as organised by our tour operator Teague Tours and spent just on 2 hours on relaxing a return boat trip that took us from the river port of Goolwa through the lock at the barrage where the freshwater of the Murray River and mixes with the salt water of the Murray Mouth on its journey... Our kids wanted to see the Coorong and Kangaroo Island whilst staying on the Fleaurieu peninsula. We couldn't justify taking them to Kangaroo island due to the unbelievable high price of the ferry. But we could justify paying half that for a great afternoon on the Coorong. Very very informative. They knew there stuff. Kids loved seeing and hearing about... More

Yes, our captains and crew definitely know their stuff when it comes to the history of the Coorong National Park, bird life, wild life and the area in general. It is unfortunate that you had to be seated outside. We only allow max of... More

A great way to see the beautiful coorong and learn about the local history. The walks over the sand hills learning about the aboriginal history and way of life also very interesting. The service on board excellent with a delicious lunch served. We are locals from Lake Albert area and always suggest our interstate/overseas visitors do this trip.
