From Rawnsley Park Station, on the South side of Wilpena Pound, Chinta Air offers scenic flights over Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges National Park. Flights are from 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour. Prices start at $195 per person for two people. Take a day tour to the Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary or over Lake Eyre or to the Mungo National Park. Bookings essential.

We took the full day scenic flight to Lake Eyre and Lake Torrens, flying over Wilpena Pound, Leigh Creek, Andamooka, Olympic Dam…and landing at William Creek for a delicious lunch at Australia’s most isolated pub. Our pilot Vanessa was fantastic. Cannot recommend this experience highly enough!

Two amazing days with Jayden, flying out of Rawnsley Park; one to northern Lake Eyre, one to Arkaroola. Both were fabulous tours, with an extremely informative, friendly, skilled pilot who answered all our difficult questions about an area new to us. Jayden is an incredibly nice, courteous, gentle man, and both flights provided us with a value-for-money, never to be dreamed of intro to the Flinders Ranges. Great to get an aerial perspective on a huge sweep of land, in the very best of company. Thanks Jayden!

We thoroughly enjoyed our scenic flight over the Flinders Ranges. Our Pilot Vanessa, was extremely knowledgeable and explained how the Ranges were formed, as well as sharing some amusing stories about some of the characters who have lived in the Flinders Ranges in past years.

An absolutely must do experience. We did a 45 minute flight taking in the stunning views of Wilpena Pound , Ikara/Flinders Ranges National Park and the gorges on the Heysen Range. Our pilot was Felicity and her wealth of knowledge was brilliant could not recommend it highly enough.

Thank you so much to Jayden, our pilot who was super knowledgeable and great company on the flight over Lake Eyre, and who was so right to recommend we also fly over the Painted Hills. We loved it and will remember and talk about it forever. It was expensive but so worth it. I have always wanted to see Lake Eyre, so thank you so much for the experience.

We pre-booked before we went on holiday our 1hr scenic flight over Wilpena Pound. Our pilot was Andrew he was awesome very professional & his commentary was very informative. WOW JUST WOW Wilpena Pound is GORGEOUS. The landscape & scenery from above is majestic. Thank you for a beautiful experience on our 1st morning of travels. A DEFINITE MUST DO.

We were lucky to take a 1 hour scenic tour over the Head of Bight whale nursery, Bunda Cliffs, sandhills & the Nullabor Plains near Nullarbor Roadhouse which hosts the runway. This is a pilot + 3 passengers plane which means everyone has great views & the pilot was friendly with good knowledge.

We did a 1 hour flight with Andrew over Wilpena Pound and along the Flinders Rangers National Park. It was breath taking and something I would highly recommend if visiting the Flinders Rangers.
