Easy drive in from main rd. Take a stroll around the main house and servant/workers quarters and imagin what it was like to live here so far from a town. We then drove around to the woolshed which I found even more enlightening. Beautiful construction...More

Interesting place to visit which gives you an idea on what it was like for the first white settlers who came to this area to farm. It also has a very nice creek with lovely gum trees.

Is access off the main road. A bit of history showing the original English settlers homestead and other buildings. Worth a visit

Just off the main raod. Amazing ruins of what must have been a very civilised and thriving hub in the 1860s and 1870s. We heard that 70 families used to live in the area. The buildings are substantial.

History from the 1850's....... ruins of what you could only imagine was a beautiful bustling homestead accommodating many and the hard life living on a sheep station. I would love to see a picture of this station in its "hay day" so to speak. What...More

Unless you have read about this in a guidebook, the chances are you will drive right past. There are signs posting the way, but it gives you no idea what a hidden treasure it is. It's basically in the middle of the wilderness - ruins...More

What were they thinking. These extensive ruins are a testament to those pioneers who tried to farm in outback Australia. They tried, but failed. No need fro a guide, just wander around. There are plaques for explanations. Well worth a visit, as they are somehow...More

This was our second visit to the Kanyaka Ruins. Fascinating place. Be sure to check out the cemetery and also the shearing shed. We accessed the Kanyaka Waterhole from the main road car park which was a lot closer than walking from the shearing shed,
