Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Franklin Harbour Jetty, sometimes known as the Cowell Foreshore Boardwalk, is an uneven wooden planked jetty that is at the end of a breakwater for the developing local marina. From the large car park, there are mangrove swamps to the left and to the right the marina. It is quite a walk on an asphalt walkway from the car park to the jetty, but the views along the way and the mangroves add interest.
The jetty is mainly used for fishing and for relaxation. The day we were there, it was overcast with rain forecast so we spent only a short time exploring. The fishermen there were reporting small catches if any. There is limited seating on the jetty, something which could be increased to cater for those who use the jetty.
An enjoyable saunter along the jetty and also seeing the adjacent mangrove swamp up close made the visit enjoyable.

We took our take away and ate it on a lovely wooden seat at the end of the board walk which had been installed by the local Lions Club. Excellent location and worth a visit. Just watch out for the couple of broken planks which I am sure will be repaired in the near future.

Visited on Friday 6th March. We stopped here to check out the town and go for a walk on the jetty. Not a lot to see or do but worth spendin sometime here.

All throughout SA there are plenty of jetty’s and each one has their own character but I don’t see how they are really a tourist attraction. They are practical and nice for a walk or fish, but really, what more can you say.

Great jetty and a good spot to check out who’s catching what. We had a most enjoyable stroll and enjoyed chatting to the locals who kindly gave us some good tips for when we go crabbing off the jetty.

Lovely spot to eat your fish and chips or to watch the sunset/sunrise. Pretty little town that’s worth a stop

Must do for families with little ones. Waterslides, splash pool, jumping pillow, basketball court, skatepark and playground. Amazing stop! Lots of easy parking for caravans too.

We were expecting the mangrove walk to be longer but it’s very short so it’s doable for most people. It was a beautiful, clear day when we were here. Interesting to read all the historical information.

Worth a walk along it plenty of fishing to be had. Started building a cafe on the foreshore hope they finish it, as it would be a beautiful spot to have a drink and something to eat.
