Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Warning - the 4 WD track after Yangie campground is really terrible - average speed 10km/hr. Rough sections of rock, water across the track, very corrugated deep sand sections, very narrow with few opportunities to pass or turn around.
We drove in to do the Black Springs walk and Black Rock track. The Black Springs walk is an easy and pretty walk along the coast to a perfect little beach. The Black Rock track is pretty boring - about a 60 minute walk through scrub to the coast. The coastal cliffs are spectacular if you haven't seen the cliffs around Streaky bay, etc. The track is poorly marked and we got sidetracked a few times and had to backtrack.

Wow, what a place. Fortunately the key roads inside the park to some of the great viewing places are sealed. Take the road to Golden Island Lookout. The views of the coast, the multi coloured sea, and then to walk on the beautiful white sandy beach are all outstanding. And it's easy. And if you look carefully as we did you might see emus and goannas, and maybe even more?

We did a day trip from Coffin Bay town to the NP. Entry $11. 2wd access to small part of the park, but best parts are only accessable by 4wd. The tracks are narrow and very sandy in places, slow going. We drove to Black Springs where we stopped for a few hours for lunch and swimming in the clear ocean waters, magic location. We would have loved to continue along the 4wd tracks to more remote parts of the park but where limited in time.

Sadly the weather we had was terrible and really took away from all the other lovely pictures I’ve been seeing, it was too cold, windy and wet for us to swim or even paddle our feet. I’m sure it’s lovely when the weather is good. Got through all the stops in 2 hours.

Great spot for an adventure, it’s a good idea to speak to locals before you go out if you don’t know it to well. Make sure you have a 4WD, the early camping is good for any type of vehicle but from the on out it’s suggested 4WD for further exploring, very rocky and sandy. The camping area is definitely secluded and the toilets and long drops but it’s great photography, great walking trails and look outs.

This national park is huge! We drove for quite awhile through it and felt like we just touched the tip of it. Beautiful views from the spots we stopped at. Was great to see lots of emus and kangaroos. Was worth the $13 park entry fee!

A quick and easy way to look at rugged coastline and beautiful beaches. Roads have made access easy and toilet blocks scattered around are super convenient.
Camp sites are also superb, site 8 at Yangie is the pick... Will be back with the van.

An absolute highlight of our trip to Eyre Peninsula. Absolutely beautiful and barely anyone else around. Roads good enough not to need a 4x4. Saw emus, lizards and the most beautiful beaches. Don’t miss this park!

Stunning view at the coast and the color of the sea was magnificent. I enjoyed the ride through the Nationalpark along the narrow road to the Golden Island Lookout. The walk down through the sand dune and to walk a bit along the beautiful sandy beach was great. It was windy and therefore even more fascinating for me and I could feel the elemental force of the sea and hear the sound of the rough waves. We had also luck to discover kangaroos and emus. It is always great to see wildlife in the nature. This calm and peaceful National is beautiful.

Black Springs Campground is definitely worth the drive in. Takes about an hour and 10 minutes from Coffin Bay township. You 100% need a 4wd. Challenging track if you are a beginner but for seasoned 4wd drivers you’ll be fine. Pretty easy just bit rough in some spots but fun and lots of sandy spots. We had no issues getting in.
We stayed in the park for 3 days and explored. 7 mile beach and the dunes were great and Point Sit Issac.
Caught fish off the beach at Black Springs and saw dolphins. Lots of wildlife. Long drop toilets were amazingly clean and not smelly. Just keep the lid shut once your done.
Lots of wildlife and bees around.
Once you arrive you’ll be glad you picked this slice of paradise. We loved it.
Also if you want a fire don’t forget to Take your own wood in as it’s a National park you can’t collect it.
ENJOY.
