I was visiting the Tablelands as part of the Tablelands Folk Festival and we decided to organise a small family reunion. My husband and I arrived early so we could walk in the rainforest. The tracks are well maintained and very peaceful - just what...More

Renowned for their Devonshire Teas, the Teahouse offers more than just lovely scones, jam & cream - whether there for a meal, the lake cruise, or both, it’s definitely worth the stop. Currently, cruises are 9.30am, 11.30am & 1.30pm and cost ~$40 for family pass;...More

We decided to join the 9.30am cruise. Not very crowded so we had ample seating. The skipper Steve was very friendly as well as very informative. Had very good knowledge of the surrounding wildlife. Cruise itself was about 40 min. Very calm and clear waters....More

To see the rainforest from the lake is worthwhile. The huge Kauris and cedar abound and the basket ferns, crows nest and stag horns dot the tree trunks. Our witty lady cruise boat driver entertained us with her quips and kept us well informed about...More

We loved the Lake Barrine Cruise. Our guide was very informative and friendly and had an amazing ability to find wildlife that we would never have found by ourselves. Devonshire tea was delicious.

This venue was recommended by a friend urging us to try the best scones in town. Light and scrumptious with a cuppa to wash it down. Yummy. We then went on the 45 minute cruise around the lake. You not only learn the history of...More

Beautiful scenery and great atmosphere. Beautiful birds, fish, eels. I would definitely recommend. We had a short swim after and lunch at the tea house. Really enjoyed ourselves.

Nice cruise. One hour sightseeing animals (tortoises, fishes, ducks, eels, snakes...) in the rainforest with slow explanations from the guide (cool takibg into account Australian dialect!). Teahouse with nice service, very vintage and delicious but they are so slow serving.
