Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A must-see when visiting Stanthorpe! It was a short walk to the lookout and opened up to lovely views of the area. My partner and I had a lot of fun exploring the grounds and making our way through the rocks. Some tight squeezes were required between gaps within the 'caves' section. Unfortunately, it would not be suitable for an individual requiring a wheelchair or walking aid.

This place would be great for kids to explore. Or us! (ie. Big kids) It would not be good for people who don't have good balance, or those who need a walking aid or wheelchair. You are rock hopping and exploring crevices in the cave section. No super steep bits like in Girraween NP but there is a look out with a dodgy ladder which climbs up a large boulder. I can imagine the rocks get quite slippery when wet.

It definitely needs a bit of love and a clean up.

Can recommend a visit to explore a rocky area

Not your average Tourist attraction, it is a must see for sure! The uniqueness of this place alone makes it worthy of a visit. The many crevices and rock formed caves are a sight to see.
Although I have some mobility issues, I was able to navigate my way around here with little problem with the use of hiking poles.
Good footwear is helpful as it can be a bit slick after it rains.
I really marvelled at how these massive rocks came to be so placed.
Do yourself and those you travel with a favor and go see Donally's Castle, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Definitely worth the drive as it's a different type of experience. Incredible natural rock formations to explore and also pet friendly (if they are brave enough). Lots of nooks and crannies to get lost in. The lookout is only a short walk to the top, about 100 metres or so. Last section is steep but there are handrails and steps. The view is magnificent and you can see almost 360 degrees for ages... Make sure you have grippy shoes though as the granite and path can be a bit slippery at points. The road there is gravel so prepare for that also if it's a concern. A very nice place to chill out and enjoy nature a little

Although a little off the beaten track, we decided to seek out this spot after reading a blog about attractions in the area. The lookout offers a good vantage point for views over the north Stanthorpe region. Unfortunately, a storm rolled in, as you can see in the photo, so we did not have a change to explore the nooks and crannies in the surrounding granite boulder formations.

Access road was being repaired so a bit hairy in a low car.
Single Public toilet long drop had no water at the hand basin. TP provided. Picnic tables. 50m walk to the lookout with stunning views. Stupid graffiti artists had defaced one of the granite boulders with offensive images. Idiots. So much for kids to do scrambling around amongst the boulders with caves and crevices to explore safely.

Huge Massive granite boulders massed together. Creating caves & vista from lookout boulder. Good elevated vista. Well worth the visit whilst in Stanthorpe.

Not sure why others found it difficult to find or it is off the beaten track? We had no trouble getting here in a small car. The roads are well maintained gravel winding country roads. We use Google Maps which took us straight there but there are road signs along the way too. It was cold wet and windy when we were here and found the tracks well maintained. Spectacular boulders and views. Well worth a visit.

Great spot to explore the rocks that this area is famous for. Easy walk that isn’t long that would suit most people. Dog friendly. Easy short drive from the main highway. Last part of the drive was dirt but well maintained. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Stumbled across this by accident but really worth a look. A short walk to the top of the lookout with a great view and make sure you do the caves which are at the bottom of the lookout to the right. You cant miss them.
