What can I say? We spent 4 nights here in March 2021. Beautiful spot! When we arrived, the dam was at 13% capacity, and 24hrs later it was over 50%! Man we got some rain... Only managed a handful of Yellow's and Spangled's, but also lost a huge bait to something very heavy. Can't wait to get back out there!

We stopped here to find out about the caves that the dam has covered. The owners of the caravan park are very knowledgeable and have newspaper cuttings, science papers and photos you can browse. There is also an info centre with lots more information and displays.

The park must have been built with high expectations of travellers throughput. Unfortunately with COVID and the drought, a massive camp ground with no campers. dam empty and rivers dry.

My family and I have been regular visitors for more than thirty years. The fishing can be challenging when the conditions don't suit the fish, but is most often very rewarding. Plenty of bird life for the non-fishing members of the party or for the hours spent around camp. Plenty of kangaroos too. The sunsets are often spectacular. The owners have always been very friendly and nobody knows the local area or the fishing better than Brian. A Great Outdoors Experience

We found the dam while exploring and stopped for lunch at the kiosk. Friendly owner / operator was willing to share information about the dam and park, including the fishing and birding. The shop was well equipped for all those things you forget when you go away and there's plenty of room to explore. The camping and caravan area looked pretty well equipped with plenty of sites. Pretty peaceful too. We might bring the tent next time.
