Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such lovely people, clearly very embedded and committed to this lovely town and the area. Very switched on approach. Came to me asking my interests and then took it from there. I came away with a range of suggestions.
I would've loved to have done more, but with many places not staffed in the early part of the week, things like the local museum weren't available due to volunteer staffing needs I expect. So volunteer if you can!
There's a good heritage walk pamphlet that shows you all the interesting buildings. The gorgeous 1901 Post Office being a standout in the arts and crafts style. Lovely.
Look, I wish I'd had more time, I should've stayed longer, the drive to Toowoomba is not as far as I thought but we did set out late from Tenterfield.
Stanthorpe from Tenterfield is an hour at most and then off to Toowoomba which is another two hours, time could have been spent.
Historical town. Give it the time it deserves. A late arrival in Toowoomba isn't of much value to you anyway. Warwick, it's near neighbour looked wealthy and well provided for. Also worth a look and it too has an info centre.

We dropped into the Stanthorpe Information Centre to find out about Sundowner National Park.
The gentleman knew all about it and was able to tell us the information we needed about access and camping.
He gave us
Maps and also told us of some falls to the top end of the national park we could visit now.

Went to Eastern Colour and picked strawberries, had a great time, played in The park, went to RSL for lunch, stayed in The Top of Town caravan part Saturday night, nice park, next day went to Ashbern farms and had coffee ice cream and bought Strawberry Jam, also they have gifts.
Overall had a great weekend.
If you are into wine, plenty of wineries to visit.

The Centre and the area around it are of a very high standard. Everything is clean and tidy and well-presented.
The sculptures on the lawns are excellent. The big thermometer is a gentle reminder that Stanthorpe can be cold enough to freeze a rat. Today it was 33 which is very hot for this normally extremely pleasant place.

What a wonderful bunch of volunteers that work at this informative centre.
Situated on the lovely Quart Pot Creek, that you can take the kids for a walk along or if you think ahead and bring a fishing line, you can even take them fishing, we caught some lovely silver perch and jewies. Follow the path along and you will come to some lovely spots to sit and watch the world go by or take the kids for a play on the playground along the pathway, your fur babies will love this area, with pathways that go for miles and follow the creek along and loop back.
The staff are only too keen to help you out with your enquiry and their help does not cost you a single cent.
Let us celebrate and appreciate our volunteers. Great work everyone your local knowledge and help is wonderful.

Not much information on family friendly activities. Definitely not much for young children to do other than small walks which is what you can do anywhere.

We had researched before heading to Stanthorpe and had some ideas of places to visit. We stopped at the visitor centre when we arrived and we were so glad we did. The gentleman was very helpful and made some great recommendations, marking some places on the map for us to help fit as much as possible into our stay. So very helpful.

There are some great photo spots near the visitor centre and it was great to stretch our legs after the drive.

By far the best visitor information center we visited on our 2 week holiday.
Helpful & the way this gentleman marked the map was easy to follow & saved us time.
Great job well done.
The NSW information centers could learn something from this guy.
Keep up the good work

We'd visited Stanthorpe several times in the last couple of years, but still found new places to explore. Volunteer Greg was very friendly and helpful.
