Masses of fascinating knowledge displayed well. Well informed staff who will look at your finds after you've been to the fossil digging sites nearby. Just remember to buy a geologist's hammer before you go out to the fossil sites, if you buy it locally its...More

Loved this place, very friendly welcome. The local palaeontologist, Patrick, made our visit great. A very enthusiastic guy with heaps of knowledge but able to speak to the average 'jo'.

Never thought there was a reason to stop in Richmond, but this little museum/display is really magic. With the audio tour, you learn so much about the huge Eromango Sea which almost made Australia 2 islands! Congratulations to Council and surrounding graziers for taking an...More

If you are interested in dinosaurs then you must go to Kronosaurus Korner, the staff are so great too, they do fossil digging tours as well, we donated a fish fossil that we found on our dig, to the Kronosaurus Korner museum. They have a...More

What a great way to learn about the dinosaurs that roamed in this area so long ago. The many great displays of so many different fossils and the personal commentary device makes it fantastic for all ages to do at their own pace. You can...More

The reality is that the museum only takes around half an hour to take it all in. The fact that everything is local makes it interesting but it still is quite small and something you would do once.

For someone eho had no interest in fossils or pre-history, I've been here twice in 12 months. This is THE stand out attraction in Richomond (along with the landscape and the friendly locals). The only fault I found was that on my second visit there...More

We visited with young children. It was very interactive and not too large that it gave us the chance to see everything to our satisfaction. There is a kids corner with activities for them too. The palaeontologist was very happy to answer questions and show...More

This place offered a great amount of information on the Australian inland sea and its large inhabitants. The whole place is well laid out and the audio tour is very informative. Not like most museums kronosaurus korner is only 2 or 3 rooms but it...More

While severely under resourced, kronosaurus korner absolutely punches above its weight. It's home to some of the best preserved dinosaur remains in the world and the interpretive information via audio guides is excellent. It's been four years since I've visited and it's great to see...More

We found the Ammonite Inn motel was a good place to base our Richmond activities from. It also has a restaurant which serves up excellent meals. The managers were very friendly and helpful when we stayed there.
