We’re driving through and thought we would stop and have a look to break up the drive. Thought we would take about half an hour. Two hours later we left. The volunteers went around with us explaining about all the exhibits and buildings. Their knowledge and enthusiasm was exceptional. Some of the exhibits were items from our childhood but most were from earlier times. Highly recommend as well worth the visit

This attraction promises so much but does not fully deliver. The displays are not well presented and there is only a relatively small section related to the dairy industry. Bit disappointing. We thought they could have done so much more.

Everything is interesting at this museum. So much history and it's beautifully presented. Not only does it paint a picture of the dairy industry, but of the people past who lived in times of difficulty and practicality. Visiting this museum and talking to the wonderful Bev was a great experience.

Stopped here with only an hour to spare to look through - not long enough - we could easily have spent 2-3 hours here. Very helpful and informative guide / volunteer. Pet friendly!! Great and interesting variety of displays, not just dairy but also local history. All well-maintained and labelled. Definitely worth a longer visit.

Allow plenty of time to visit this museum. We had a very good guide Betty who had a great knowledge of Murgon and the surrounding districts. The former Bank of NSW building has heaps of info there particularly about the dairy industry in the area.
The Museum Chapel is quaint and lovely and even today is used for weddings, christenings etc.
Castra, Murgon's first home is very interesting - {as long as we are not expected to live there now!!}. Those were hard days!! Furnished as to that times too.

Really enjoyed this place, lots of lovely old antiques and things to see. The gentleman there couldn't give me enough info and loved to chat! He was super friendly and very passionate about the things in the museum. He told a lot of old stories which gave us an insight into the way things were. Grounds are well kept. All donations and only $5 adults and $3 kids. Very cool place to visit with families.

This museum is a gem! Please come and support this very worthwhile endeavor. Wonderful displays of many heritage items, presented well. Original farmhouses, church and dairy. Lots of space for children to run and clean facilities. This museum is staffed by well informed volunteers. Well done Murgon.

The Murgon Dairy Museum will entrance you for hours or most of the day - your choice. Not just the history and memorabilia of the local dairy industry, but beautiful agate displays, antique/collectable telephones, farm machinery, 'CASTRA' the first house in Murgon, an early Chapel, plus much more. Intriguing, great volunteers to assist you with information, etc. Well worth a visit.

What a fascinating museum to visit. We wandered around the museum and its grounds, reading and absorbing the history and memorabilia about the dairy industry and the South Burnett area. Certainly worth a visit, small entrance fee which contributes to the upkeep of this wonderful museum.

Hi, We are a Senior PROBUS group of about 20 adults who may be interested in seeing the Museum when we are visiting the area for the Goomeri Festival in later May.We would be looking at mid morning on the Saturday about 10am so how long would it take to see everything there. What would be the cost for a group of seniors? We are putting together a schedule for the weekend so that is why we are asking at this time. Thanking you. Kind Regards Judy Francis.
