Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First time at this market and it didn’t disappoint. It is exactly what you would expect from a local market. Good local products. The people are excellent and you can pick yourself up some really nice fruit, bread and a lot of other things. Worth a visit being so close to Port Douglas.

Leave fruit and vegie shopping for this market. Excellent in the park at St. David's Church. Lots of good quality interesting stalls. A friendly relaxed atmosphere to wander amongst the stalls and the giant trees. On every Saturday between 7 am and 1 pm, mark it on your calendar.

We visited on Sat 1 June 2024.
The Saturday Market is on every Saturday. Closes at 1pm.
Lots of locally produced products and produce.
We purchased fruit and veges, and local vanilla ice-cream.
I had a great chat with a local guy that made his own 4-string guitars!
A good stop for local produce. “Support local”.

Disappointed by the Mossman Saturday Market. Recommended by a Port Douglas local, we were hoping to find enough fresh fruit and veg to fill our fridge. Unfortunately very overpriced fruit and barely any veg except garlic and onions. Friendly stall-holders but many half empty stalls at 10am. Dog owners also need to clean up after their pets as poo all along pavement. Port Douglas Sunday market has much more to choose from.

if you are here in Mossman on a Saturday between 8 am and 12 md make sure you visit this place. There are many unusual foods and handcrafts here to peruse. Many of the fruits and vegetables are not available in the retail shops but the overall standard of the food is that it is much fresher than those available in shops - also much cheaper.

On our way to Daintree, we happened upon Mossman's saturday market. It was a cute little farmer's market with everything from tropical fruits to crushed pineapple drinks and pineapple ice cream to didgeridoo player to handmade screen-printed tea towels. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel very welcome (sometimes you can feel a bit out of place in small town farmer's markets). It seemed like the whole town and their families (people of all ages) were at the market. It was more of a town gathering/even than a farmer's market it seemed. It was a great vibe and a wonderful experience and we enjoyed meeting people and sampling some of the local's food and wares.

We drove from trinity beach to mossman Market, but very little to see not many stalls as usual as one person told us, so we had a coffee and drove back to the hotel in trinity beach.

Located under some huge trees over 100 years old full of ferns, orchids and other, this is a small local gathering. The fruit and veggies looked very good and showed a lot of tender loving care. The people behind the booths were friendly and loved to engage tourists like us. Homemade jams, cakes, cookies, essential oils and the like are abundant. It is simply interesting to see the range of people there all having fun as in most small communities. We are looking forward to the passion fruit cake tomorrow. Had a great conversation with a vanilla bean grower who has perfected his technique and offers vanilla extract and lovely cured beans. Parking is easy and if you are around on a Saturday, a must hour or so.

This is a small market in a pretty location. There were several excellent fruit and vegetable stalls as well as stalls selling alternative therapies. One lady was selling very attractive screen printed tea towels and bags. Our grandchildren enjoyed the fresh coconut drinks. The market is close to several good cafes.
