About
We make award winning wines from Tropical Fruit and no this does not mean they are sweet and sticky. They range from very dry wines to ports and they are all commercial standard. The wines are single-fruit wines, not blends. All the fruits we use have big flavours and we grow them in the organic way and in our own orchard. The flavours of the fruits are retained in the wine.

Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Some truly fabulous table and fortified wines made with mango, lychee, kaffir lime, passionfruit and more. The hosts are knowledgeable and welcoming, giving food suggestions for each wine. And sending boxes if 6 or 12 interstate. Well worth a visit.

Went there for the novelty of a winery in FNQ, however the wine was really good. Particularly liked the mango wine.
4 tastings for free, or taste them all if you buy a bottle. It’s worth buying a bottle (around $25 each from memory) just for the experience and to enjoy the views while having a glass though.
A very genuine and non-pretentious winery, hosts were just as good. If you’re into wine, or alcohol at all, definitely drop in.

Lovely service, with a wide range of tastings.
Set on a family run property and family run winery, the owner was lovely and accommodating.
We bought three wines and were super happy with the service and quality of the tastings.

Our group of four were a little sceptical about tasting tropical fruit wines - mango, passionfruit, ginger, lime etc - but we were really pleasantly surprised. We very much enjoyed the tasting and chatting with one of the owners. The wines are really delicious and interesting and you will definitely make a purchase. Definitely recommend a visit to this family owned and run business.

Fun in Greece attended this winery and was amazed to have the opportunity to sample and rate 12 tropical fruit wines. Our host was extremely knowledgeable both about the wines uses and about the growing of the fruits. A tour of the trees was included. Our favourite was the Ginger semi dry. Our host explained that the tropical wines were wines made without grapes but otherwise just like a "regular" wine. A great experience comparable with the grape wine cellar door experiences we have had in wine country.

We needed to kill some time before our hotel check-in and this was the spot we chose. What a great last minute addition to our trip! The wines are fantastic made with fruit grown in the property. The hosts are the owners and have so much knowledge and experience to share. It was truly difficult to pick a favourite. Lovely option to ship a box of wine back home so you don’t have to cart it around or end up drinking it all before you even leave!

Visited this winery as part of the Port on a plate tour run by Pete. Trudie and Tony were lovely hosts, and took us through their specialty wines whilst Pete cooked up our delicious lunch. They are a passionate couple who have run the winery since the 90s and my sister and I highly recommend a visit.

Stopped in on our way to Trinity Beach from our time up in the Daintree. The hosts are so friendly and helpful during the tastings. The wines are delicious and truly embrace the freshness of tropical Queensland fruits without being too sweet. Postage of the wines to our home address made it possible to get all our favourites without impacting in our baggage restrictions in flying home. Highly recommend stopping in when exploring the Daintree and surrounds.

Rustic, Charming and informative experience - Tony loves what he does and answered all our 8 years questions on the fruit. Now to the wines - well we walked away with 6 bottles but the Mango, Lychee and fortified wines Wow. If your heading to out via the Mount Molloy Highway detour and check this little gem out.

Trudi was fabulous. Ordered a case of wines to be delivered back to Sydney.
Definitely a place to visit. You drive through the property and park at the back.
Free tasting up to 4 wines. Around $25 per bottle.
So many flavours - passionfruit, mango.. loved the sticky wines.
They ship interstate.
TIP: Check out the creek around the corner for a refreshing swim - we had a dip before we had the wines. Well worth it!!

Correction - Correction
We don't charge a fee but if you try more than 4 wines then you
are up for a bottle of wine for each person who tries 4 or more.

Peter W (Peter Wood) did not come to the Shannonvale Tropical Fruit Winery on this occasion. He has a personal dispute with me and this is a way of "punishing" me.
This is a form of business blackmail and I would like it stopped and this person to be notified that his membership will be withdrawn if it happens again.
Thank you,
Tony Woodall

The above is my response to the alleged visit by Peter W (Wood). I could find no other way of reporting this problem to you, TripAdvisor.
Hopefully someone from TripAdvisor will see this and fix the problem. Both of Peter Wood and my inability to report it to you.
