My wife and I recently spent almost two weeks on Bedarra Island, and the fact that this turned out to be a dream holiday was due, in part, to the exceptional service provided by Adele and Stuart from Mission Beach Charters.
Not only did we rely on them to get us to and from the island, but they also made stocking the holiday house with supplies and restocking it as required incredibly hassle-free. The added bonus was the insights into the area and the underwater world around us, compliments of a Marine Biologist and an ex-Navy man!
Nothing was too much trouble for Adele and Stuart in helping to make our holiday amazing - can highly recommend their helpful approach if you are doing anything on the water around Mission beach of the nearby islands.

Thank you Mission Beach Charters (Adele & Stuart) for the amazing care you gave to our family of 4. The transfers to and from Mission Beach to Bedarra were educational and stress free. Our 10 year old is still talking about seeing the incredible Pilot Whale pod you spotted for us. The snorkelling adventure you provided was one of the highlights of our stay. Adele, the amount of information you provided to us before even leaving home was of great assistance for airport transfer options, car hire timeframes, local contacts and especially planning ( and collecting ! ) our grocery shopping for the island. In addition to that, there were many times you both went well beyond the ‘call of duty’, in particular your unexpected morning visit to our accomodation with a first aid box to assess my wife’s foot after a stumble walking. Your bandaging skills were greatly appreciated as were the crutches you provided to assist with the transfer back to Mission Beach ! I’m not sure many charter companies would be able to provide such care and genuine kindness to their customers. Thank you for making the memory of our trip so unforgettable. Matthew Vitoli.

We recently used Adele and Stuart for transfers to and from Bedarra Island. They were excellent in providing information and an efficient service. Adele went above and beyond, giving us so much more than just the transfer service inc. Accom and restaurant recommendations. She also did our shopping for the stay using the best of local produce, the freshest seafood, delicious beef, local market fruit and veg and Even threw in some delicious local chocolate. It made our trip really easy. So much more than a transfer service. Thanks, joanne

TAKE THIS TOUR!!! The absolute most amazing experience of a lifetime. Adele and Stuart are brilliant professionals who want nothing more than to make sure you have the best possible trip to the Great Barrier Reef and surrounding areas. Their knowledge and expertise is unparalleled and they give a comprehensive overview on this most unique of locations in the world. They are safety and environmentally focused and lovely and kind people. The experience is tailor-made to your preferences (to the extent possible) and every detail is attended to. Their tour equipment is new, excellent quality, and in top condition. The beautiful lunch, snacks, and extras were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. I hope to return one day and I urge you to get in touch. @greatbarrierreefsafaris on IG will give you a taste of their wares.

Really loved the very personalised experience on the fringe reef around Bedarra Island. Most of my snorkelling experiences in NQ have been on big tourist boats where you are just a number. This time with Adele being a marine biologist, we snorkelled together with her pointing out various fish species, coral species, clams etc and also talking about the local history etc. It felt like being out on the boat with a friend. I saw coral trout, spotted cod, angel fish, parrot fish and many more. All of my many questions were always answered with incredible knowledge. Thanks Stuart also for taking photos on my phone. Adele also took some underwater ones of me and sent them through on an email later. A great memory of the day out.

Thank you to Adele and Stuart for such a wonderful family adventure! We booked with Mission Beach Charters for a 3 night Robinson Crusoe experience on Kent Island. It was really special. Adele gave excellent advice and made it so easy for us. We brought a camping stove and that was about it; everything else is taken care of by Adele including booking the campsite!
We used the time to kayak, snorkel, read and play cards... and completely wind down. Brilliant. Thank you!

I cannot recommend Mission Beach Charters highly enough!
My partner and I decided to elope to Bedarra Island in July.
Not only did Adele and Shaun provide boat transfers to the island which ran like clockwork. They also gave us an end to end “concierge service” whereby they helped us arrange transport from Cairns airport, told us where to shop and what to bring, picked up all our shopping for us, and liaised with the owners of the house we were renting on the island.
Nothing was too much for Adele and Shaun. They made our elopement stress-free, and for that I can’t thank them enough.
We can’t wait to come back for a wedding anniversary!

We had a great few days with Adele and Stuart and Mission Beach Charters on our holiday to Bedarra Island. Adele's attention to detail prior to arriving was outstanding.
We were provided with loads of useful information, advice and guidance that proved to be very helpful.
Our transfers were great and very convenient and delivered us right to the front door of our holiday accommodation on the island (including our luggage and our provisions) that all arrived safe and dry!
We also had the opportunity to spend half a day with Adele and Stuart on a a tour of the islands in the Family Group of Islands and then we hit the water for some snorkeling on the reef where we saw turtles, giant clams and other amazing tropical fish and coral.
I highly recommend these guys and we cannot wait to get back soon!

Last year this time we celebrated our 25th Anniversary night on Wheeler Island by just the two of us! The best vacation experience in our lifetime. All made happen by Mission beach Charters. Professional, friendly, caring and attention to every detail to make your trip a lasting memory is how I would describe Mission Beach Charters. Adele and Stuart make you feel at home.

Who would have guessed that you snuck in under the wire with international travel. Happy anniversary to you. Did a snorkelling trip with Adele and Stuart and had a fantastic time. Our 7 yo and 11 yo loved it. We went in pouring rain and still had a great experience. It was the highlight of our holiday so far and we will come back next year.

Luckily there was no wind so there were nice flat conditions which made for perfect snorkelling. Hey, you were going to get wet anyway!

This is our first visit to Cairns and not sure which is better Trinity or Mission Beach
Which area is better for snorkeling?
Also wondering, is there a refund if you have to cancel due to weather?

I'm not certain what the reefs are like around there, I have heard that the reefs inshore up there are suffering badly from bleaching. Apparently some of the outer reefs off Port Douglas are ok (so I hear?)..You have plenty of options out of Cairns with operators - perhaps chat to the local tourist information centre to get more of an idea?..
We do offer a full refund if the weather prevents the charter from happening. There are still a few good options down here....

We are traveling to Mission Beach for 3 days, arriving Sunday December 23 and leaving on the 26 for Sydney. It will be myself and my 2 adult children. We would like to plan a snorkeling trip for the and was wondering what trips do you have. Thanks, Cheryl

HI Cheryl, At this stage I have only the 23rd and the 24th available. I only take private charters at that time of the year, so you have the option of a full day charter for the 3 of you which costs a total of $1150 or we can do a half day charter for $700. I will require a 50% deposit by the 25th November to confirm the charter. This deposit is fully refundable if the weather prevents the charter from occurring, however, if you cancel within 48 hours of departure, you lose the deposit completely. If you would like to book, please let me know ASAP.

Hi we will be staying at mission beach for 2 nights in January and we were after the pricing to book your charter for fishing. After reading such positiive review we cant wait to meet Jesse & Bec..
