Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A very large beach that extends around the estuary, past the caravan part towards the town Esplanade. Nice shallows when the tide is going in or out and not too much of a pull on the tide. Inside the bar and infront of the caravan site the sheltered area is heavily used by fishermen, SUPs, kayaks and small power boats.

Plenty of lovely sand but the depth does drop off quite quickly along the area infront of the caravan site.

The sunsets behind the blocks of apartments opposite the caravan park so a good place for an evening drink sat on the sand.

Such a beautiful beach, well kept by council, has lifeguards and close to accommodation and shops. Huge area with enough room for everyone. Can walk for miles and is close to river around the corner

One of our local beaches, Maroochdore lies between Alexandra Headland and Cotton Tree. It's great for the surf but also for just sunbathing or swimming. The surf club is there and available for great meals. Clean public toilets are available as well as free beach showers. Parking along the shore front road can be difficult at times, esp. if there is an event on. There are two caravan parks at either end of the beach, and many cafes and restaurants only 5 to 10 mins walk away.

Long and wide stretch of beach mostly hard sand.. Life guards for swimming at top and bottom of beach. Plenty of room for everyone. Bring some shade with you though.

Great open beach, no dumpy waves like Mooloolaba. I love Alex Beach too, but you can walk between the two in about 20 mins.

Very clean beach, warm water, easy access and parking, with an excellent foot path for a nice walk, if it's not to warm. Very handy for shop, cafes and restaurants.
