The museum is well laid out with displays depicting indigenous culture, early settlers, mining, old communications, and life in the old town. There is a cafe where a light meal can be obtained.

Stopped here for quick stop and stayed quite a while walking around the musuem- full of interesting things from past days with obviously a tremendous amount of effort put in for tourists to drop in and enjoy. Definitely worth a stop.

The scene of Queensland largest mining disaster with 75 men killed. All very interesting and well...More
