Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was raining, which didn't stop the crowds but meant that the main waterfall was roaring into the bottom hole, giving clearer water and a great current to swim against. Two reasonably safe jump rocks and two trapezes, one looking about 7m high, plus gentler shallow spots above the falls. Could even tube down most of the way instead of walking. That's probably a good idea as there's limited, muddy space near the bottom so take as little as possible with you.

Beautiful scenery...There are a few places to take pics and feel relaxed in nature. It tends to get very busy....and unfortunately it attracts those people that just go to sit in the most obvious places making sure that no one can get a photo of the scenery without them in it! You know the sort!

The car park is a nightmare...spaces are far too thin for even small vehicles. At least 1 car was hit by another as they were trying to negotiate a parking space in the short space of time that we visited. Would definitely recommend parking up the road even if there are spaces available on the car park if you don’t want the side of you’re vehicle rearranged or a lovely deep scratch put into you’re door!

Not a big walk but oh so worth the experience of feeling and seeing nature at its glorious best. Running babbling clear water over a decent distance to ending in cascading sloping falls to the final cascade into a huge pool. No doubt locals love this in Summer to swim in. Beautiful bush surrounds with all the birdlife noises. Amenities along track. Went early in morning so surreal. Quite refreshing on face as it is Winter and COLD in the shade. Would have loved to have been able to go further but could not see any proper tracks. Be nice if in the future this could be extended. But happy with what we enjoyed.

It is terrible.
Gardners Falls was overcrowded, heavily littered (there was litter on the ground next to the bins, even!), the water was murky and brown, filled with algae and sharp rocks/broken beer bottles. People come with loud speakers and play profane music, dominating areas. There is no parking, as well!

I would recommend another, better treated area for a nice nature visit, such as Kondalilla Falls.

Really not a great waterfall but lots of people swimming in the water which was running well and several different areas from shallow to deep. Very little seating/picnic tables (almost non existent) parking is a very small area and even on a Monday it was chockers and difficult to negotiate. The pathway along the stream was adequate if sure footed.

I’m surprised at the high rating the falls gets. If I was an interstate or overseas visitor I would not make a special effort to visit, as compared to other attractions on the Sunshine Coast, Gardner’s is not that special or attractive. The water is always murky and the facilities are basic. Also the atmosphere can really depend on the people that are there at the time. On sunny weekends from about October to March it can be friendly, but crowded with people having a good time sitting in the water to cool off or jumping from the rope swings or rocks. But there are also those lovely folk who think it’s ok to smash glass, drop their fag ends, graffiti, throw nappies/condoms/bongs into the bushes or not bother to walk to the toilets for #2’s. That can really sour the experience.

It’s a nice & easy stroll along the creek side with a nice waterfall at the end. Several people went for a swim, bit cold in June but would be popular in hot summer months. Car parking is fairly limited.

Early morning stroll when very few around. Sitting on the rocks with my feet immersed in the cool running mountain water. Listening to the Whip birds. What could be better. I prefer the quiet times as can get a bit crowded when the weather is warm in weekends. Get there early to grab an easier park. Great that most of the walk is fairly flat and accessible to a wheelchair too.

About 1 hr south of Noosa, with many nice sightseeing within the area. The main falls are a very short walk from the carpark. It’s a really nice walk along Obi Obi Creek where there are a few small falls where you can just sit in and let the fresh water wash around you. At the main falls people where jumping of the cliff into the water, or swinging of ropes and landing in the water. Great spot not to be missed, with toilet & picnic facilities.

First part of the waterfall is an easy walk from the carpark. To see the larger falls (approx 4 to 5 metre drop) you will need to be steady on you feet as you need to traverse rocks and tree roots.
Car parking is limited. Larger vehicles i.e. caravans and trailers are not permitted as there is no turning circle or room.
