Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Small markets in the picturesque town of Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Although a wet day the market was well situated within the RSL and was patronised well. Good range of homely products but are in competition with the Maleny township which is tourist focussed. Good day out and take a camera.

This is a small market located in the Maleny RSL. We were staying in the area and decided to pop in on the way to seeing something else. There was vendors seeing a variety of things including fruit & vegetables, jams, second hand books, art work, clothing, etc. We only spent about 20 minutes totally here due to its size. I did end up purchasing some local jam from a lovely lady who grows her own produce. It’s worthwhile visiting if you’re already in the area, but I wouldn’t make a special trip to Maleny just for the markets.

Thankyou for your feedback. No we are not a destination market. We are local people operating the market as a co-operative. We have regular stall holders selling their handmade items, it is a small but friendly market. We have very talented local musicians performing each weekend and are not for profit entity. We discourage cheap imported stalls and try to maintain a standard of handmade, local or secondhand antiques and collectables/. We have been operating for over 35 years and havent really grown in size .....small is beautiful they say. There is so much to see around Maleny its well worth coming up for a drive.

Interestin if you are in the area but wouldn't make a special trup here. Hard to change the RSL atmosphere and the products are quite ordinary, not much you'd want to take home.

This is an amazing market to visit, Has many interesting stalls, from home grown vegies and fruit, to personal crafted products. And tasty foods to enjoy. A great place to visit for a day. Only a short drive or bus ride from Brisbane. And in a wonderful area north of Brisbane.

Drove a long time to visit this market. Very disappointing and the people were not friendly. If you were a knitter you may have been interested. Hard to find somewhere to park.

No imported junk just stalls of locally made jewellery & other craft combined with home grown produce, bric-a-brac & books made this one of the best markets I have visited.

Waste of time people not freindly at all, observed customers being ignored by store holders too busy talking to each other instead of interacting with customers.

You will enjoy exploring all of the quality items for sale at the Maleny markets. Antiques, jewellery, craft items, leather goods, fresh fruit and veg, plants, clothing - so much to see. For food, there is a Malaysian stall, a vegetarian stall and a coffee/tea stall. Most of it is indoors, so it is on -rain or shine.

Had the the most tranquil and relaxing day, strolling the streets, looking in shops that offer anything from very antique wares, to beautiful wood items. Then there is the most amazing food and music playing at different venues that just entices you to sit, eat, drink and relax and enjoy. Markets are on until 2pm offering beautiful fresh fruit and veges, oils, cremes, jewelry and so much more... Just the best place to sit back and wind down ready for the next week ahead.. The drive up to Maleny is also very very scenic, lovely dairy farms, rolling green mountains and beautiful rain forests. A Must.

Set in the small local RSL hall, the markets offer a range of knick knacks, both new and old as well as home made. Jewellery, clothes, collectibles, etc., some fresh fruit outside & coffee/scones inside. Worth a pop in if passing by and/or walking around town.
