Review of: Drover's Sunset Cruise
We did the sunset dinner cruise and found it to be average, the dinner part anyway. We got picked up at our hotel then taken to the river where you board the boat immediately. We then cruised along as the sun went down. Loads of commentary, at times too much banter we just wanted to listen to the birds etc, said most people up top. We then stopped to feed turtles which meant everyone got eaten by sandflies, a girl asked if we could leave early because everyone was being attacked by midgies. They offer nibbles once, by the time you have a handful of cheese or kabana It is gone. Then docked, escorted to a table for dinner. The tables by the singer have no overhead lights so very dark, we had to use phones to see what we were eating. The lamb stew was awful, a thick sauce with 3 bits of meat, a pinch of cabbage and 6 potatoes. The barramundi was bigger with same sides, not filling at all especially for men. Do a cruise, don’t eat. The smoke will kill your eyes if windy.…

Review of: Drover's Sunset Cruise
We recently completed the Longreach Outback Getaway. From the very start the tour was well organised with very helpful tour guides. We stayed overnight at Emerald and took the train to Longreach which was well worth doing. We stayed at Longreach for 4 nights before flying out. The unprecedented rain meant we couldn’t do our trip to Winton or go on the river cruise, but the company did lots of last minute rearranging to make sure we had a great holiday. All of the places we went were interesting and well worth the time spent. The age group of participants (20) was probably mainly above 60 so the tour probably wouldn’t appeal to younger her people. We had a fantastic time and wouldn’t hesitate to use this company again.…

Review of: Drover's Sunset Cruise
My husband and I recently completed the 9 day, Birdsville/Desert Escape Tour with OAT. I can honestly say it was the best Aussie holiday we have ever had -- and we've had quite a few. From the extremely professional, fun loving and helpful guide and driver, to the great hospitality of the chosen motels and wonderful food, we had an amazing experience. Sunset drinks on a sand dune, billabongs, Light shows on airplanes, Outback towns and pubs, cruise on the Tomson River (the one without a P), museums, morning tea on rural properties ... the List goes on.…

The Birdsville Desert Escape was an unbelievable experience for Di and I plus another seventeen travellers. The tour had the advantage of two excellent, knowledgeable, friendly and exciting guides with Rachael our Host and Darren our informative Driver. They are and were a talented team. The group of travellers all enjoyed great comradery and experiences during our 8-night and 9-day Outback Aussie Tour. We started at Longreach (2 nights), Boulia (1), Birdsville (3), Windorah (1) and last night Longreach (1) before we farewelled our fellow travellers, Rachael and Darren. What we covered on the adventure was outstanding and with the knowledge of local Station owners, Publicans, Smithy (the owner of Outback Aussie Tours) and of course our Hosts was exceptional. In Longreach we visited Rosebank Station where Princess Alexandra and Alice stayed in 1959, Qantas Founders Museum and Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame. Onto Winton and the Waltzing Matilda Centre then a scenic drive to Boulia. After Boulia it was off to Birdsville for three fantastic days with – that is for you to find out when you book the Birdsville Desert Escape. You will not be disappointed. Our thanks go to all involved in this escape.…

The Legendary Longreach and Winton Tour - A fantastic tour with 'Outback Aussie Tours', our guide and driver (Janet and Danny) were second to none - they made the tour entertaining, fun, informative and tried to cater to everyone on it. Going to Rosebank Station and meeting Alan and Sue was great, especially since we were able to drive around the property and be informed of the ways of the land. The morning tea we absolutely amazing and the atmosphere inside the house took us back in time with the old records playing. Outback Dan was entertaining as well on our night at Camden Park, the dinner was great too. One of the best highlights of the tour was the unset cruise with Allen, it was beautiful and he was a funny chap. The dinner and entertainment at 'Smithy's was a night to remember. We highly recommend this tour, Outback Aussie Adventures and most importantly we recommend Danny and Janet as the guides.…
