Meet a world expert on Giant Clams!

Cocky Guides is my business that provides group tours for blind and low-vision travellers all over Australia. On Magnetic Island we had a group of blind, low vision and deafblind travellers, plus a seeing-eye dog. We had a wonderfully educational and hands-on experience at the aquarium. Dr Rick, the owner, really took the time to understand our needs and made a couple of little adjustments to ensure it was a fun, inclusive and accessible experience for my travellers. We look forward to another calling in again on our next visit!

Worth a visit

It doesn't take long to visit Aquasearch. There is not a great deal there, but I enjoyed the experience and it didn't cost much. Worth a visit if you have some time to spare.

well worth a look, just part of a great day, with Neil, best bus tours, neil is so knowledgeable, if your a senior (like me) this tour is for you, comfortable, relaxing, current restrictions mean mainly queenslanders on board.

Absolutely brilliant
Feb. 2020
We had an amazing morning with Adam. He is very knowledgeable about the island and the wrecks which surround it. The snorkeling was absolutely brilliant, saw so many fish and some baby black tipped reef sharks. We did some fishing and Adam knew just where to go. He put on an excellent morning tea.If you get the chance make sure you go on this tour you will not be disappointed.

Good display of coral and fish
Jul. 2019 • Family
Small local aquarium with various species of fish and corals in good sized tanks. There is plenty of natural light to take photos and see into each tank easily. It was great to see some fish that i have never seen before at other larger aquariums. Plenty of literature to read. Small donation of $3pp for entry.
