Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lake Broadwater is looking a picture at the moment, plenty of water and lots of birds. We dropped in last weekend for a look and stayed the night. Cost $7/head for a site. We were thinking it was lovely and peaceful with only the occasional vehicle on Broadwater Road adjacent the campground. Unfortunately the occasional vehicles didn’t stop all night including trucks from time to time. If you aren’t deaf I’d recommend not visiting just at the moment, maybe wait a few weeks until the Arrow gas drilling program is over.

Megan and Tim, the caretakers, are a lovely couple and very helpful and knowledgeable. They do a fantastic job of keeping the area tidy. There are showers and toilets, camp kitchen with free bbq’s and water and lots of sheltered areas for a picnic, playground for the kids too. The lake is lovely to swim in or paddle on. At only $7.25/person/night, you can’t go wrong. And, for the same price you may be lucky to score one of the few powered sites, bargain!

Went to visit to see if we would like to stay on our next trip. We found that it was confusing about what to do on arrival as the signs were not very clear. We looked at the powered sites and thought they were very crowded and close together. They were all on bitumen which would be hot in summer.
We went to the unpowered sites and they were much better. We presumed that you could park anywhere in this area as there were no signs telling you what to do. You cannot make booking so first in best camped!

Our stay in this park was an absolute delight. So pretty, natural and quiet and the facilities were very clean and so well kept, so much so, that even though we had our own ensuites we used the showers and facilities.
The caretaker was very friendly and welcoming but also professional.

This is a beautiful spot with wonderful bird and wild life! Amenities are very clean but hot water was a little hard to find! At the moment the lake has no water so praying for some rain to fill it up again! We stayed in April for overnight stay.

Beautiful serene place manager very capable and friendly however be aware some internet sites are advertising Lake Broadwater is pet friendly and it is definite not it is a conservation park as we found out after arriving with our little dog and we were nicely asked to leave the next morning this was the first time in 6 years we have been caught when searching the net for pet friendly places to stay and the advertising was wrong, never mind we had one night in such a beautiful place I would highly recommend it.

This would be great if the lake had water in it. But it was quite beautiful staying there for 2 nights. Quite. Amenities clean. Caretaker friendly. Fire pits allowed.
