1 hour Daintree River wildlife cruise on a solar electric boat, so it is nice and quiet and there are no petrol fumes or exhaust and good for getting close to the wildlife. We are the only boat with "Croc Cam"; a digital video with a very good zoom for showing hard to see animals on a big screen.

Wildlife includes Salt Water Crocodiles, snakes, frogs, and birds and also interpretation of the mangrove environment.

I can't recommend this enough Created by the lovely lady at the front and offered endless biscuits coffee and daintree tea! On to the boat, they explained that with high tide weight not see too many big crocs but we could do a tour for free later in the day if we would like! That's nature for you!! So thoughtful... More

No pretentious promises. It is what it is. A tour along a world heritage listed river looking for wildlife. Great host. Great proximity. Great effort. Short tour (60-80 minutes) but complete. Crocs, birdlife, plants, river, amphibians, it's all there. On top of this! The boat is electrically powered! No PA no speakers needed. So cool. I saw 4 crocs innumerable... More

My 81yo mother and I took an early morning cruise with this company, everyone was very friendly and helpful but we didn't get to see any crocodiles. Not to worry however they offered us another cruise for free later in the day and we saw 4 plus some other lovely wildlife. The boat is great being solar powered it is... More

Just did this boat trip, was excellent. Saw a good half dozen crocs as well as some other wildlife. Martin, lovely bloke, also helped us out with other things to visit in the daintree. Great experience.

This is the best way to see Australian Salt Water Crocodiles living in their ancient natural environment. The well designed boat was comfortable and everyone had a perfect view. It was great to be with a limited number of people in a quite boat with its solar powered electric motors, no noise, no fumes, just floating along the beautiful Daintree... More

Hello, back in Germany we remember well the Solar Whisper tour. Not only because its solar boat also for Martin and David, this Tour is highly recommendable. We had the Morningtour on the 9th of May and have seen three Crocodiles (Scarface, Elizabeth and a one year old) but also some Birds and an amethystpython! David the guide on the... More

We had originally missed the turning off for it and drove straight to the Daintree Village and almost went on another boat trip instead, but I had read such wonderful reviews for it, that I really wanted to find and go on the 'Solar Whisper', of which we eventually found down by the car ferry crossing (should have read the... Our daughter so wanted to see crocodiles and, as a family who values the needs of animals, we wanted to see animals in a natural habitat with people who would align with us. Our tour was fantastic. A friendly team who are keen to share their love and knowledge of this environment. Highly recommended
