Chris was a wonderful and informative host for several of us new birders although he was obviously an expert. Immediately spotting birds on the wing, tree or by call alone! Extremely knowledgeable! Definately recommend if you are in the area, want an introduction to the local birdlife and want to do several things in a day.

I am glad you enjoyed the walk. It is getting to an interesting time now with the migrating birds coming south for the summer. More

Chris took us on a relaxed and highly informative walk around the Daintree village area where we saw and heard a remarkable amount of birds. This should be a must on your visit to the area; to be guided by a local with such expert knowledge on birdlife was a privilege. Thank you for a great tour Chris.

I met Chris in 1998 for his boat tour and returned this year for his bird walk, this time with my teenage children. We saw an abundance of bird species including honeyeaters, pelicans, cormorants, butcher birds, egrets, lorikeets,...and plenty more. Chris is superbly knowledgeable, patient, and polite. We all had a very enjoyable and memorable experience. Highly recommended

Chris Dahlberg is an authority on the Daintree birds and can spot them or recognize their calls immediately and with ease. Highly recommended to both novices and experts.

It was a pleasure to guide you again after 18 years and an honour to meet your children and show them some of Daintree's birds. More

I first met Chris Dahlberg in 2008 on his river cruise and returning to the Daintree there was no way I was going to miss a walk with the expert. I got all the best advice on where to see what locally, and he helped me to get my ear in to some of the commoner songs and calls to... More

At 7am this morning I joined like-minded people for the new Daintree Bird Walk in and around the Daintree Village. Chris Dahlberg led the small group and with his legendry ear for bird calls identified about 40 species over the 2 hours. The tour started off quietly and we soon saw the reason why, a Sparrow Hawk was swooping in... More
