Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked our cruise online after our daughter told us she is taking her 2 girls early January and thought we’d check it out for her.
Bonnie at the desk was very welcoming with a cold drink and her knowledge of the area was great.
We only saw one crocodile, resident Elizabeth and a small croc. Had hoped for more sightings but no luck. Simon had the passengers laughing with his anecdotes and pointed out many birds in the area.
We took Bonnie’s advice and got the ferry across to Cape Tribulation.
I would recommend this trip but would have given it full marks if there were more crocs.

We had a great tour at 2pm seeing lots of hatchlings on the banks and 3 large crocs in the water plus a green snake lining up a frog for lunch. Jarrod our guide was excellent informative and great steering of the boat got us up close and personal and for $30 well worth it. A great hour and the pre cruise squash and biscuits at reception was a nice touch on a hot day.

The guide was not only skilled in locating all forms of local fauna (crocodiles, birds of prey and birds of colour) but also spoke extensively about their habits and behaviours. For the entire trip of 90 minutes we were fully engaged viewing wildlife. It was a very enjoyable cruise. Congratulations to Daintree River Cruises the experience from reception to conclusion was first class

We went on the 1.30 pm boat cruise and the owner decided to join us. She was very entertaining and complimented the guide well.
Our expectations were truly met when we saw Scarface (5 meter male crocodile) and then followed by Lizzy (3 meter female crock).

Also saw a number of other birds and animals that made this trip a memorable one.

What a great trip down the river. Went in November which can be quite hot and the crocodiles are not out sunning themselves on the banks. The boat is sheltered and it wasn't too unpleasant. Will definitely go again in cooler months in future travels. The guide Bruce was very friendly and informative and certainly knew his stuff, without being overly chatty. We saw 3 crocodiles including a baby croc, and a snake.
The young lady on the phone was super helpful and friendly and answered all my questions. When I met her on Reception, she was lovely and provided complimentary morning tea on arrival and afterwards gave a talk on the area. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I wish I could remember her name...but I spoke to a couple of other crocodile tours on the phone, and they were short and not very helpful on the phone. This ladies phone manner made me want to book with this Company and I wasn't disappointed. Sunscreen and insect repellent and water to drink are a must on these tours.

We had a wonderful guide, Graeme. He took us up the majestic Daintree River, and in particular up a narrower section around an island. It was here that we saw Scarface, a 5m croc. We were fortunate that he swam alongside us for quite a while. On our return trip he slid onto the river bank so we saw his full size.
Graeme stopped the boat on many occasions to show us a rare orchid, an unusual owl, some pretty flowers, and a couple of younger crocodiles.

We Arrived a bit late for our cruise. The lady at the desk was so helpful and informative even with other attractions in the area. We went out on a shortened trip due our lateness and Steve certainly knew his stuff we were in amongst the crocs less than 5 minutes after departure from the jetty at least five crocs local wildlife and a falcon Such a enjoyable 50 minutes to just see these reptiles in their natural environment. priceless. Steve's commentary the whole trip and his knowledge impeccable, not to mention the snake we caught a glimpse of in the tree tops.Look up theres trouble look down theres more trouble (lol) Thanks Steve and the Daintee River Cruise Center for the best 50 minutes of our trip .

This is the original and the best. The Lafferty family are legends in these parts and for good reason. Not only have they maintained the quality of the original offering but Leigh's daughter Kianna does not cut corners or scrimp. If you want to see the Daintree River the way those who started these adventure cruises intended than this is definitely the way to do it. Comfortable, clean boat to sit in so you can enjoy the experience is essential, then a guide that has lived the flora and fauna all their lives talks from experience rather than a script. Hospitality and making you feel welcome as well as being able to provide valuable information about any other aspects of your visit to the area makes this worthwhile on all levels. Enjoy, we certainly did and will do so again many times into the future.

Would definitely recommend this river cruise. Our guide was exceptional at spotting crocs and getting us close enough so everyone could see but not disturbing them.
We saw so many crocs of all different sizes , was so worth wild and we throughly enjoyed it .

Truely amazing!! Jayden our tour guide was phenomenal! His knowledge was thorough and went out of his way to give us a good experience. We saw two crocs, a frogmouth owl, kingfisher, fruit bats beautiful plants and archer fish showing off their skills with an arrowroot. Thank you Jayden! Even when we got back the lady who runs it was so helpful with places to go, encouraged us to use her facilities and top up
our water. Just a brilliantly run family business, well worth it. Thank you again 🐊❤️
