Really enjoyable early morning boat trip, thanks to Ian's boating and birding expertise. We were able to get really close to azure kingfishers, spotted whistling ducks and many more. Ian has lots of interesting information at his fingertips. Thanks for a great morning - well worth getting up so early!

Sauce is a legend! Daintree's answer to David Attenborough!!! We have had many fantastic trips with him during our stay in Oz. The first of many was in July 2015 and our most recent two trips in January 2017!!! Each trip offers something new, evening and morning tours are just as spectacular as each other, hard to choose which is... More

If you want a great personalised trip up and down the Daintree then this is for you. We met our guide "Sauce" who has many years of experience on the Daintree, has excellent knowledge of the birds in the area and has a boat perfectly built to get into areas of the river that you might not see otherwise. As... More

Wonderful excursion on the Daintree river. Sauce was a great guide, full of local knowledge about the flora and fauna and we had a lovely time. Lots of Black Bitterns! Would recommend!

We took the 6 am cruise & had a couple of naturalists aboard, including our own naturalist guide, Jonathan Munro. We enjoyed the quiet calm of the river & definitely spotted a few things between the people on board, but we saw much more with Jonathan Munro on our own. Do the river cruise if you haven't already hired a... More

The cruises took 2-2.5 what is pretty long for the price of 75 AUD each. The guide has spare binoculars and blankets on the boat. We were taken to many promising bird spots or stopped spontaneously when seeing a bird or other animals. He fed us with many background information and is really good in identifying birds. Seeing the sunset... More

Source was very knowledgeable and passionate about providing an educational tour. We saw a crocodile in the water even though the high tide made it less of a chance to see. We also spotted pythons in trees, many birds including owls and bird nests plus heaps of different trees and flowers. We got to eat a fresh wild cherry too.... More

Was fortunate enough to enjoy a lovely cruise with Sauce. He was a great guide and very enthusiastic about his job. The scenery and wildlife was amazing. Somehow it was only me and my partner on the boat so it felt like our very own private tour which made it even better. Cannot recommend anymore. We look forward to another... More

I have been meaning to rate this for years but only got a 'trip advisor' account a few days ago... we did this trip about 3.5 years ago now, and I'm not into birds but my husband very much is...! Sauce is probably the best guide we have ever had. A bird lover and photographer who was generous enough to... More

Sauce is an absolute treasure. His knowledge of the Daintree is extensive. Our small group experienced the wonders this amazing place has to offer. Sauce knew the river so well he was able to take us to see pythons curled up in trees and where Tawny Frogmouths were nesting. Despite the tide being high, we were even able to see... More
