Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lot of walking around lake MacDonald however some magnificent photos and fauna to remember Noosa. The main beach is still the highlight but this ranks a close second. It is a 3km walk if you want to do all the walks. Tip+ follow the colour arrows for guide.

We found the gardens very pleasant and interesting, however there was one major flaw. Although there are many arrows and walks there was no map available to show you where the walks were . This was a major flaw and spoilt an other wise good experience.

Unfortunately, it looks like all money for the area goes to Hasting St and nothing else.

These gardens are in desperate need of some TLC. There are multiple options for walking tracks and the paths are created with thought but each path we took, the gardens were overgrown, didn't offer any colour or interest and worn interps signage.

This garden has real potential and could use a bit of cash to get it up to scratch.

At the state it is in now I wouldn't go back however I love to visit gardens and if it was worthy I would attend regularly.

I believe dogs are allowed but it would be better if dogs were not allowed to give the gardens a more natural feel.

Located outside Cooroy, this 8 hectare Botanic Garden area features tropical and sub-tropical plants from both Australia and overseas.

I would have to say that we found our time here (about 1 hour) a little underwhelming, although we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the garden area and the paths that meandered their way around the gardens.

Obviously, the Grecian-style amphitheatre is a focus of the Gardens.

Well done to the locals who volunteer to maintain the Gardens.

Always a great place to visit, lots of tables and chairs, Lake Macdonald views, the amphitheatre, sometimes live music. The changing seasons mean there is always something new to see. Extensive with many different mini gardens with differing ecosystems within. Highly recommended.

On a recent visit to Noosa Heads, to get away from the crowds at Noosa, we chose to spend a couple of hours at the Noosa Botanic Gardens. It was peaceful and quiet and not too many people. We noted that some areas of the gardens needed some TLC. There are some nice seating areas overlooking the lake. It is certainly worth a visit if visiting this area of the Sunshine Coast.

While there's not much colour to be seen at this time of the year this extensive set of gardens is well worth a visit if you're anywhere nearby. Lots of different habitats and pleasant views over Lake McDonald. You can stroll around the major parts of the garden in well under an hour.

The name of the garden is misleading, located outside of Cooroy, on the banks of Lake MacDonald, over twenty kilometres away from Noosa. We discovered the Grecian style amphitheatre overlooking the lake just in time to eat our picnic lunch, this was quite an unexpected style of structure to find within the gardens. Our visit was pleasant enough, rather hot and no breeze, as we strolled around a section of the gardens. The new enclosed Shade Garden was the highlight of our visit, being able to talk to two attending volunteers and showered with a cooling mist of water.
