Interesting historical plaque and well signed on the Barkly Hwy, interesting spot which was easy to pull into off the highway. I commute regularly between Mount Isa and Cloncurry, and often see Grey Nomads and their caravans stopped here for photos.

Great little rest stop, interesting to know those poor men came this way. Watch for trucks as you pull back onto the road, we had a near miss.

Between Cloncurry and Mt Isa not far out of Cloncurry. Memorial to the Burke and Wills expedition. This was one of their camp sites on that expedition. Not far off the road, worth a quick stop to read the inscription.
