What a sensational little park. Nice flat path winds its way around the park and lets you explore all the zones. Well maintained and when the plants grow a little bit more it will be very pretty. Kids will have a ball on small bikes or playing on the big grassy areas. There is a story board along the Museum fence. They have a little sand pit with diggers to play in. There is a water park but that wasn't working when we were there, but looks like it would be heaps of fun.

I was really unsure what this would be like but I really enjoyed having a wander around. Would be great for the kids in summer when the water park is working. Has bbq area, lovely plants and many birds nesting in the hollows of the large trees. I would recommend a stop here.

Fantastic gardens and parklands! The water park for kids is great. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Beautiful to see the native plants thriving and the vegie patches too. Highly recommend

Right behind the info centre. Just cross the railway tracks. Lovely walking track. Fantastic playground was completely watermelon themed!

A wonderful colourful attractive area in the centre of town. Areas for walks, picnics or playgrounds. Sheltered areas for gatherings. We loved the water park with the incorporation of watermelon pieces. The plant specimens are growing and will make a great display of colour in the coming years. The old trees in the park highlights the treasures that have been valued.

A well thought out botanic parkland offing lots of seating and shade and with plenty of open spaces and activities for play
The only criticism if you could call it that - given the word "botanic" in the name - is the lack of species signage. Perhaps something for the future

Very nicely done, but looks young. Well designed, you can see its potential including a large lawn area for entertainment, and a splash zone clearly being enjoyed by the local kids.

A climbing wall/rock was a different feature, nearby the clean amenities.

The far entrance also has a larger version of the Cyprus Pine art piece found on the roundabout on Heeney street

And a nice RSL Soldier Memorial behind the waterpark area

These parklands showcase local flora, local art and provide a place for a pleasant stroll or a family picnic. There is a lovely waterpark and climbing frames for kids to play. It is really well maintained and on our morning walk we saw everything being well cleaned. A great use of the land which we heard had been a disused rail yard .

This is still being developed - it will be an absolute picture in a couple of years when the plants have had time to grow. It is well laid out and a lot of thought and effort have been put into the landscaping. There is a great kids' water-park incorporated - or right on the vey edge of it.
