Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the best ways to see the rainforest, rather than tramping through the undergrowth. Best to go on a tour at night or early morning before all the chattering tourists descend.
Farnorthescapes run an evening/dark walk through this boardwalk, and it’s amazing what you see.
Annoying things are chattering tourists, or tourists on their phones chattering away, whilst you are trying to be quiet and spot the wildlife.
On the night walk I managed to spot a python, bandicoot, rat, spiders, frogs and lots of other things.

My favorite of the listed short walks in the park. Will take less than an hour to explore and soak in the rainforest and be at peace

We spent close to 9in here just listening to the sounds of the Forrest and photographing the dense biodiversity of flora. The trees and leaves are enormous, and the vines and mushrooms around them are so vibrant. It’s quite different to the discovery center so worth a stop.

We went in high season and it was still so quiet - no bus loads of tourists here

Can't see why anyone would recommend this boardwalk. It is a shortish walk through the mangrove swamp (ie stagnant muddy water, same boring plants). There is nothing to see here that you couldn't see better examples of on other walks.

Yes, it takes you to the beach, but the beach was very ordinary as well, and it isn't safe to swim due to a 5m croc moving into the area.

If you only have the time, or energy for one walk, this is the one to pick.
It's very close to Cape Tribulation, and is an easy, flat looped walk from a large car park, which also has toilets and picnic tables.
You can cut the walk in half with an escape loop, or do the full circuit, and also take a short diversion down to Myall Beach.
The scenery is superb with sensational palm trees and lovely patches of rainforest.
A must do on any visit to the Daintree.

What an incredible walkway. They have made a wonderful board walk through the mangroves and rainforest.

A little bit longer of a walk, with the option of detouring to Myall Beach. When I went, there was a tree down across the boardwalk that was a bit hard to get over, so just being mindful of that when you visit.

Another quiet and peaceful walk like Mardja where you will see some wildlife, fungi, birds and mangroves and you can walk down to beach and then walk along beach or just do the loop back around the board walk. Only takes about an hour but nice and flat and just nice to walk and take in the peace and quiet.

This is a beautiful walk. There are mangroves like none I've seen before, thick with fluffy moss and with lots of little knobbly points sticking up everywhere.

So much to see and such a well constructed boardwalk. We saw a wallaby, fresh water turtles and plenty of fish. Didn't see any Peppermint Stick insects. Walk takes you through different habitats, and ends up on the beach, which is also nice. Truly worth it.
