Disappointing. Given how well the business owner understands the natural rhythms of Coopers Creek, it would make sense to run the excursions at times best suited for viewing crocodiles rather than fixed times. Low energy engagement with his customers. Did learn that crocs most likely to be on the river banks in winter when water is cold and birds will... More

My partner and I went on this cruise during our holiday in the Daintree and it was honestly the highlight! The guide was shared information about the river, birds, mangroves and crocodiles at different points of the trip but also allowed us to take in the scenic views of the mountains and colourful surroundings. He allowed us to stop at... More

The cruise is very entertaining and educational. I would highly recommend it for those who are interested in creek life, including mangroves, green tree frogs and crocs. My kids enjoyed the cruise so much. Also, the cruise departure spot is very close to CJ cafe (within walking distance) which is convenient because we just hung out at the cafe before... More

Our cruise with Ernie was fantastic. The tour feels so authentically Australian - the guide is a local who is happy to engage with questions and is friendly and knowledgeable. Luckily he is such an experienced guide so we were able to see a crocodile even though it is summer and so the crocs tend to stay in the water... More

Sure, you cannot assure your clients that they will see crocodiles during a river cruise, it gets a bit tricky though if you advertise your tour as 'croc cruises'. Although we did learn a thing or 2 about crocodile behaviour and mangroves, it would have been better if the guide would have used some amplification as he was hard to... More

Ernie is so laid back and his laconic commentary is hilarious. Take this 1 hour trip up Cooper Creek to the mouth of the Daintree. We didn't book as it wasn't high season, just turned up & there is a board by the roadside with departure times. He warned us we would have 50% chance of spotting a crocodile and was... More

I went on the cruise as part of a tour from Cairns to Cape Tribulation. Our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable about the river and its flora and fauna. He warned us that it was quite hot and the chances of seeing crocs were slim but he used his local knowledge to go to the best places and we... More

We wanted to take a river tour in Daintree to see crocs (we hadn´t had any luck seeing crocs in the Daintree Boatman Nature Tour with Murray although the birds and the river were fantastic). In the Cape Tribulation Wilderness Tour we didn´t see anything else but a few crocs. Not too big. The guide seemed bored, It is cheap.... More

We had a fantastic cruise on the 11.30am tour. Ernie is very knowledgeable and we learnt about the mangroves, crocodiles and bird life. We saw a large female guarding her nest and an aggressive male swimming on the surface. I have done most of the cruises on the Daintree river but found this tour on Cooper Creek to be more... More
