Overview
This tour starts by driving through the short National Park beach access track at Woorim once reaching the beach our first stop will be Norfolk Lagoon & followed by Mermaid Lagoon. These areas provide fantastic photo ops with friends and iconic Australian wildlife and scenery. For Mermaid Lagoon we jump back in the 4WD and head north along the pristine beach to our next destination within Bribie Island National Park.

Arriving at the WWII Bunkers (Fort Bribie) you’ll be amazed by the history of these great forts built in the 1940’s. There will be plenty of time to explore and learn the history of these structures, that are slowly descending into the ocean and may one day cease to exist.

After the WWII Fort Bribie tour we head south through the National Park with plenty of time to keep a lookout for local dolphins. The tour ends by returning you to your original pickup point.

It was a very good day out. The weather was open skies and sunny but windy. Who cares! Our guide, Jeff, was a pleasure to be with. It was informative, fun and value for money. I recommend it. Any age would enjoy it.

Spread the word! For those of us who don’t own a 4WD so many spots are out of reach. For years I’ve looked across from Caloundra and so wanted to explore Bribie’s beaches and hinterland. G’day Adventures offer the perfect opportunity to do that.

Jason was a terrific tour guide. Very knowledgeable on all aspects of Bribie island including history, WWII bunkers, wildlife, vegetation, nature, ecosystems and conservation. Stunning beaches and inland lakes. We enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch at a beautiful scenic spot. Jason also was a very experienced and safe handling the 4WD vehicle. We will be recommending G'Day Adventure Tours to all.

We live on the island but had never seen the northern parts of the national park and beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience along with our daughter and son-in-law. The weather was stunning as it usually is on the island and we had a most enjoyable lunch at Poverty Creek. Our tour guide Jason was exceptional with his knowledge and friendliness and was able to give us so much information on all aspects of the tour. We can certainly recommend this trip as a must do activity when on Bribie.

We are locals to North Brisbane and thought we knew Bribie Island really well. This tour showed us a hidden but beautiful side of Bribie which we had no idea about. Jason was an excellent guide and his knowledge of the local wartime history, plant life and fauna was exceptional. We did the tour which included kayaking on one of the lagoons. It was absolutely stunning and so peaceful. It rivals the Noosa Everglades but in a smaller capacity. We would highly recommend this tour to locals and visitors alike for a wonderful day out.
