We packed a picnic lunch and spent the day fishing. Although we did not catch anything, it was an awesome day out. The water is so calmingly blue and made me feel so at peace.

The lake was nice, but somewhat hard to find the right place to be. Once we actually got there, there wasn't a lot to do and we ended up leaving shortly after to go to other places in the tablelands.

Right on the shore of Lake Tinaroo is this moving tribute to local soldiers killed in Afghanistan. It is a tasteful, beautifully designed walkway flanked with trees to honour each soldier and the bomb detecting dogs that have saved many. Well worth a visit. Illawarra...More

More for a family to relax, easy for a picnic or barbecue but by choice I enjoyed Lake Eacham more. Worth it to see the Avenue of Honour on the way.
