Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Save your money do not spend it on a Chlorine Bath experience there is nothing pure about this centre. The spas are dirty, the centre is a glorified chlorine public pool charging VIP prices.

Visit had been booked a Christmas gift.

The best I can describe Hepburn Springs Bathouse as is tired, dated and anything but relaxing. Staff were indifferent and barely interested.

The Sanctuary was a waste of time and money .. it was busy and offered nothing you could consider different. It was just another pool.

Our daughter bought us the Sanctuary package with Devonshire tea so we were expecting a bit of a treat. We arrived early as requested. The staff member prepared our 'journey card' and sent us downstairs to the lifeguard. From then it was very disappointing. People were complaining about the coolness of the water and asking for refunds. We were worried but were assured that the Sanctuary would be fine. We had to ask for our calico bags and water. The lifeguard could not find any bags. We were also never told that we were supposed to have access to a 'relaxation room', so we missed that entirely. Once inside we tried to indoor spa and it was cool. I tried the salt water pool and it was lovely. The outdoor spa pool was nice and hot but the bubblers never came on, so really we were just sitting in a hot bath. The outdoor spa pool have leaf debris and a Band-Aid in the corner! The small steam room always had someone in it so I didn't get to use it. I got to try the larger steam room once. After our time was up we got dressed ready for the afternoon tea. We had to ask where it was and found out that it is 100m up the road at The Pavilion. So with wet hair and in the cold we headed off, luckily the Devonshire tea was delicious! We thanked the staff very much.

I am absolutely appalled and disgusted with our stay at the Hepburn springs bathhouse..
We stayed in a villa which cost me 400 dollars for one night, they also took a 250 dollar deposit, the room was dirty, all surfaces weren’t wiped and the bath had dirt in the bottom of it, and the shower was covered in mould,
I brought this to the staffs attention as I was with my friend who was 35 weeks pregnant and all they said was ‘sorry there is nothing we can do the cleaners have gone home’
The aircon in our room also didn’t work..
Walls scratched and dirty.
All over just a terrible experience and complete waste of money. So disappointed

We booked and PAID IN FULL a month ahead, for a weekend in Hepburn Escapes.
We drove there from Melbourne to find that Hepburn Springs Bathhouse had CANCELLED our booking! ( I booked directly through them..NOT a through a booking online organisation!!) ........
Not only were we EXTREMELY DISAPPIONTED, but they couldn't refund our money there and then, and offered NO form of compensation what so ever.! We tried to get accommodation elsewhere, to no availe as EVERYTHING was booked out; and had to drive all the way back to Melbourne that night!
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and ANGRY to say in the least!
Once they did finally refund the money we only received half. It took another email to receive 2nd half and still no form of compensation offered.
If we ran our business like this we wouldn't have any customers....SIMPLE!
Good Luck if you choose to gamble on this place!

Booked the private Sanctuary package for my wife and myself. It was our 1st ever experience of a unisex spa and bath house. Everywhere we travel we are always separated, so this was a nice and different experience. Lucky for us we had the whole place to ourselves on this day. The heated spa and cold plunge pool were just the thing for our aching overhiked bodies. With the place to ourselves we could go to the steam rooms x 2, to the salt pool and the power lounge spa without having to battle any crowds. Looks like midweek and out of school holidays would be the best time to experience what we did. The Devonshire tea that was included in our package at the quirky cafe in the beautiful grounds was a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend you visit the bathhouse too but make sure you pick your day and time. Sharing that experience with a heap of strangers may not be your cup of tea. It certainly wouldn't be mine.

Visited with hubby in mid November for a weekend away. The visit to the bathhouse was our highlight !! The staff were attentive and made us feel special even though they had a busy day. We found it very hard to leave as we were so..... relaxed , loved every moment.

It’s always the little things that matter .... upon arrival we were not offered lockers so entered the change rooms with no way to safely lock up our gear. We had to go back
to the desk and pay $5 each for two lockers .
There was no toilet paper in the women’s toilet - whoops!
Showers on the pool deck are cold so guess what ? You splash the water on yourself and then enter the pool. There was only a few people in the spa and pool which was lovely and quiet .
I noticed several dressed people having a tour of the pool etc - how weird it felt like I was on show. Not appropriate i thought .
The pool is lovely and big and good for swimming. We moved to the spa and after pressing the green button located on a wall 7 paces from the spa I was disappointed in the power of the spa jets . There is no real propulsion coming from these jets so sore muscles just have to soak in a tepid pool.
Overall for the price of a public pool with the slight smell of chlorine I would not return here as there are far better pools in the area.
