Play a nice 18 holes
Dec. 2020 • Friends
A good course. Par 66 but plays through some little valleys and dips that make it seem longer. Greens are small and challenging. Nice place for a sneaky game of golf if you are not interested in the spa thing,

Lovely setting, excellent condition.
Tees fairways and greens in super nick, especially when you consider the harsh environment of the area
An oasis.
Short course ...good fun
Book a cart if you have any physical issues at all

VERY GOOD COUNTRY GOLF COURSE--BUT TAKE A CART!!
Oct. 2019
The Course was unknown to us when we booked from Melbourne but what a very pleasant surprise

An 18 hole course which is quite challenging at times but rated only 114 slope rating. Seems easy but need to keep your shots straight. Some of the greens are hidden when teeing off and this too adds a degree of difficulty.

The Greens are very well maintained

In my opinion a motorised cart is a necessity as most holes are very much up and down.

Greens are excellent for a country course as are the majority of the tees and fairways.

On the midweek day we played we were the only players on the course with the spectators being two largish mobs of Kangaroos.

A quite scenic course and would certainly return if in the area again

Great little course
Nov. 2019
Great picturesque little course. Set amongst the trees and playing through small valleys, the fairways and cart paths aren’t the smoothest but the greens were immaculate when I played. Nice deck for a beer at the clubhouse overlooking the 17th & 18th Will definitely play again when in the area.

What a great country golf course!
May 2019 • Solo
I am very fond of country golf courses - new challenges, usually with fantastic vistas and gorgeous bush settings. And the wildlife that goes with that. Hepburn is a ripper - very quiet mid week so an honour box for green fees then just me and a big mob of kangaroos, skilled at ignoring tourist golfers and hopping away only when really needed. The course is really quite hilly and cleverly makes use of its setting - so lots of challenges from elevated tees down to gorgeous and well maintained and undulating greens. Great golfing excursion from Melbourne - I’d be back happily any time but next time might plan a soak at the Hepburn Springs Bathhouse after!

Gem of a golf course. Golf cart mandatory, unless you are very fit
Mar. 2019 • Friends
Recently visited Hepburn Springs Golf Club as a social group guest.
Short course, only a par 66, all holes will have you heading up a hill or down.
Very hilly and with tight fairways.
The club have ample golf carts for hire.
Mandatory unless you are very fit.
Skippys' frequent the course on some fairways.
The tees and greens are in excellent condition, fairways are cut but are dry for this time of the year.
Trees hug both sides of tight fairways.
Usually find the ball if among the trees, better to hit your ball straight.
Lovely clubhouse for dining inside or on the balcony watching players coming up the 18th.
Well stocked bar, stubbies were nice and cold.
Our social group will definitely come back again next year.

A good walk not spoiled
Jan. 2017 • Friends
It's a myth that Mark Twain ever said of golf that it 'was a good walk spoiled' but whoever did surely can't have done so after a round at Hepburn. This is a delightful course, where fairways cut through lovely bushland, which in the spring is vibrant with local wildflowers, such as blue pincushion, paper daisy and trigger plants. The vegetation is so diverse and bewitching you'll want to hook and slice, just to get up close to it. But if you prefer the short way home, down the fairways, you'll have to give way to the resident eastern greys (though they usually hop obligingly out of the way).

Friendly and enjoyable
Jan. 2017 • Friends
As rusty golf players, we had a lovely, leisurely round of golf. (Well we only managed 12 holes; we spent a lot of time looking for balls ;-) ). 3 of us (2 middle aged; one 16YO)

Good
* The course is largely well maintained. The second hole is a bit confusing. We played 8 by mistake and then came back to play 2 instead of 8!
* Water availability on the back 9 holes. Lots of water taps and fountains and ball cleaners
* Affordability for a round and cart hire

Great
* Staff friendliness - staffed by volunteer members who were so caring and thoughtful
* Amazing mobs of kangaroos from around 4pm. We got lots of photos and videos!
* Very unrushed, so we went at our own pace.

Even better if...
I say these with caution as this is a local country club and any of these improvements might make it too attractive for in-a-rush city types... (which is me normally)

* Up to date website with easier features for booking a game
* Main phone line - have someone reliable on it for set hours each day (maybe just 2 hours around lunch time?) for people to speak to a real human
* Small map of the course for visitors, indicating course, water areas (my son was close to dying of dehydration around hole 8! Thanks to a friendly maintenance guy, we found the tap!) and ball cleaners. You could laminate these maps for reuse? Maybe put one map in each cart?

Summing up:
Fabulous, friendly, unrushed. I would go again and would recommend to relaxed golfers.

Really enjoyed playing here. Well maintained, friendly staff! We didn't see any kangaroos which was a bit sad!
