    Well worth a visit
Went in unsure of what to expect but we spent a good hour to 90mins just wandering the isles and checking out what was on offer. There is a mix of collectables, old, new, games, books, clothes, food art and so much more. It felt like it was going to be busy going on the car park but once you get in there was heaps of space. There are a number of staff around willing to help, and if they see you carrying a few things they will gladly take it up to the front counter so you can keep wandering. Even if you don’t buy anything it is fun just to walk around. The parking is free and there is toilets and a cafe onsite

    A must to visit!
Fabulous place to visit. Worth the trip to Daylesford for this alone. So much to wander round and so many little bits and pieces to purchase old and new. The cafe attached has the best food I could not fault it.

Prior to going, I wasn't sure if it would be a worthwhile experience. However, my wife and I easily spent almost 2 hours there just wandering around and checking out the different stalls. The place was massive!!! If you like a bargain, you will love it there.

I took a drive to Daylesford to visit the Mill Markets after having a fantastic experience at the BALLARAT site earlier this month. If I had been to Daylesford first, I’m sure I would have loved it more, but speaking personally, I felt it suffered in comparison. There were certainly lots of stalls with lovely merchandise, but the prices were appreciably higher and the overall variety was not as good. I would still recommend visitors go for a browse, but if you’ve got a choice, I feel the BALLARAT location is the better option.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Your feedback is very important to us and much appreciated. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed looking around our Ballarat and Daylesford venues and hope you had the chance to enjoy a treat from our cafes too. There is some range between stock and prices across our three venues due to the different genres, stall holders etc. We also encourage you to take a trip to our other venue at Geelong where you can also find a great bargain. Regards, Amazing Mill Markets.

The market is a typical one, just like most towns have. The parking was not well organised. The layout was not great for good flow of visitors. Two levels are split with a small set of stairs that are only one person wide so it was a bottle neck with groups waiting to go up or down.

Hello, Thanks for getting in touch, however we think you may have us confused with another similar market in Daylesford. Our Daylesford Mill Markets are all on one floor with no stairs. Our aisles are also well spaced to allow plenty of room for visitors and social distancing. We are also spread over 6 acres with space for over 300 cars, all with easy access to our front door. We hope that next time you are in Daylesford you can visit our market and have a better experience than this. We are located at 105 Central Springs Rd. Thank you, The Amazing Mill Markets.

Rows of empty stalls filled with mostly clutter and badly in need of attention. This is about the fourth time we have visited the markets and it doesn't change. The items are all still there. It is desperately in need of a 'Manager' or someone with some design experience to add a bit of lustre. The service at the desk is exceptional with people only too happy to wrap goods but it needs someone to spend some serious time in sorting quality from quantity. This could be much better - but looks and feels tired.

Hello and thank you for your feedback. We'd like to clear a few things up, firstly we have hundreds and hundreds of stall holders across our three venues stocking everything from vintage and antique items to new and upcycled items. From fashion and toys to plants and tools and everything in between. We have a very large wait list of people whom are waiting for stalls at all three venues, therefore there is never an empty stall, someone is always moving in as someone else moves out. All three venues have at least two managers along with our stall holders who work the counter and floor. Stall holders are regularly in their stall, some even daily. Tidying and putting out new stock, replenishing sold items etc. We have recently added the Vintage Fairground organ and Jam Factory Clock to our ever expanding display of amazing things also. Thank you once more for visiting us yet again and we hope that you come back soon. It sounds like you found something to take home and we hope you're enjoying your treasure. Regards, The Amazing Mill Markets Social Media and Marketing Manager.

This place is huge, but unfortunately it felt just like a big op shop, like somewhere for stallholders to sell their junk. There were a few stalls which had home made goods and it is definitely a good place to pass some time but don't go in with the expectation that you'll be finding much. I must've missed the memo that 'home decor, fine china, art' just means preloved items that have been collecting dust. I guess one man's trash is another man's treasure!

Hello there, I think you'll find that if you return you'll be pleasantly surprised. So many new stall holders and so much treasure to be found. Come on down if you're up for the challenge.

I visit the Mill Market about once a month locally (Geelong) and the two further away a couple of times a year. I rarely don't find something I want and have been looking for and have taken a son who was rapt in the branded retro clothes in his size and he walked out with his arms full at Daylesford recently. Great for those of us who like to find those little things to add to a collection or love the idea of recycling instead of buying new. I know what I am looking for and the price range I would be interested in paying and a couple of times I have asked for the owner of the stall to be contacted to see if they will shift on the price and I have happily had my fair and reasonable price accepted for the items. Try not to rush through, there are layers.

So glad you found all the goods you were after, and at such a reasonable price. It's true, that it's best to take your time searching through all the treasures! Look forward to having you back again!

I walked in for my first visit to the famous Mill Markets, only to find a basket full of *golliwog* dolls at the store entrance. Attempted to politely inform the manager and staff of the racist history, offensive, and triggering nature of these items but was met with contempt and outright resistance from the manager who refused to remove them, while fully accepting that these items were racist. I am shocked that in 2022, some people refuse to acknowledge their complicity in upholding harmful and racist ideologies. Will be sharing my experience with everyone and hope that these people in Daylesford one day learn how much damage and hurt they are causing.

Hi, Thanks for your message. It's true at their time of manufacture Golli dolls where not made in the best of taste and at a time when many where not concerned about these racial stereotypes that were being upheld. I understand your distress. While the dolls have a nostalgic appeal to some, there have been calls for a "difficult conversation" to be had about the golliwog's place in modern Australia. If we cannot remove these items from world, I hope they can at least spark conversation about change.

The Visitor Information Centre recommended the Markets as they were only minutes away. Very easy to find and also included a Cafe'. Unfortunately I arrived late in the day so didn't have enough time to explore the entire market. It is HUGE! So many vintage items, it was mind blowing. I've never seen a market with this many items and so many that reminded me of my childhood, parents and grandparents. I found some great items to purchase and discovered there are 3 Mill Markets in Victoria, with one of those being in Geelong which was my next destination. Great place to fossick for interesting trinkets. Loved it.

This place is incredible.
We stayed 4 hours and that still wasn't really enough time.
Light lunches were ok but maybe a little less eclectic and a bit more main stream offerings would work better.
There are hundreds of stalls with anything and everything that it would be impossible not to leave with a purchase, or two, or three.

Welcome to days gone by! What a wonderful collection of everything you can imagine from the past. Stuff you remember seeing at your grandparent's, or even great-grandparent's houses. Talk about a trip down memory lane, with the added bonus of being able to buy something. We spent several hours here, sustained by a quick snack from the café. The staff were terrific, with several roaming the floor to take your purchases back to the counter so you didn't have to carry them as you looked at the fantastic displays. I totally recommend a visit, but suggest you give yourself plenty of time to get immersed in history.
