    A wonderful place to visit!
We absolutely love The Convent Gallery, and visit every time we are in the area. Breakfast is always delicious, as are the scones! Have stayed I. The accomodation before, that was amazing!! We’ll be back soon! And will walk down that aisle in 2024 🥂.

It is well worth a look.
What a fantastic experience. From the entry to the exit plenty of history. I was not there for the art so much as the historical convent. although there are some fantastic pieces scattered through the whole building. The Cafe-restaurant seemed to have a booming trade. The bar at the end of the journey was fantastic. If you are lucky you may encounter the owner who is a very happy and entertaining . She has some great stories to share on her journey from first purchasing and renovating.

Amazing environment well preserved historical venue. Tribute to the owners and caretakers for preserving local and Victorian history. Did not get to eat in cafe but looked lovely.

The restaurant here was fine.
Garden lovely to walk through.
Inside, good gracious. What is happening here?
Clearly this has been a beautiful building. As an open minded person, I couldn’t help but feel the negative vibe of an operation which feels like it has a negative attitude to the heritage of this stunning building. Just seemed a shame. Calling the cafe, Bad Habit and having crazy art in The Altar Bar while playing religious music was just weird.

I am not sure where to begin with this?? When the old convent was purchased it was in such a derelict state. Tina had the foresight to return it to its former grandeur and open it for the public to enjoy. There are dedicated museum spaces around the building paying homage to the Presentation Sisters & the Holy Cross boarders. Clearly, you missed all that! We have 7 dedicated spaces to represent & support Australian artists. Clearly, you missed all that!! We love our history & share it with the thousands of visitors we have each year over the past 32 years!! I invite you you visit again... and appreciate the history, art & hard work that has gone into keeping this beautiful building alive!

Absolutely stunning. What a gem of a building and such a lovely proprietor and staff. The exhibitions are great but the glimpses into the lives of the nuns and students in byegone days was excellent. The renovations have been done with love and attention. If we get the chance to visit Australia again this will be on our list to stay a night.

Our High Teas certainly are popular... so to is the visit into the Convent thereafter. We are so glad you enjoyed the entire Convent experience. We really do love it when visitors take the time to explore the building and enjoy the ever-changing artwork on display and all the history of this magnificent building and its past residents. Thank you.

Good Service - but long wait on coffee order becuase their computer mal functioned and scones - if they call them scones a child could have cooked better - worst scones ever had in 65 years..Coffee and hot chocolate when evenutally delivered was OK. And an entrance fee - used to go there years ago and was much better will never return.

Computer malfunctions do happen, and typically when its busy... Murphy's Law. Apologies once again for the delay in getting your food & drinks out! 40 serves of scones are baked fresh daily and are typically sold out each day. Customers tell us everyday that are scones are "the best scones ever", "light & fluffy" , "delicious". Sooo... Not sure what went wrong with yours.

Getting to Daylesford we decided to go to the the gallery. Why? I don’t know but this is a great place. The café is friendly and has good good and is stylish. The art gallery has great art; local different & not different traditional and not traditional. The function area is a great little art deco place ( not open in the middle of the day). The shop has a wide range of gifts and art that is unique and not unique. There’s some history of the place through the building including the basement where they have chapel relics.
Everyone appears friendly and wanting to be there.

Thank you for your great review. The art at the Convent Gallery changes every 8 weeks, with every gallery space exhibiting the work of different artists to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy! The staff all love what they do... and I feel so proud when our guests feel the love! Hope to see you again.
