Visited Garbutt Wood last time we visited the National Park Centre. The views are stunning- perfect on a sunny day - and nice walk from the Visitor Centre. Cannot wait to go back!

I was quite disappointed with the National Park Centre. There was little to see or do, and all that seemed to be going on whilst we were there were a few eejits messing around on mountain bikes.

A section of the Cleveland way runs through part of the wood. Very good walking and cycling area. High Paradise Farm provides drinks, snacks and more and is well worth a visit.

Some steep bits but worth it - park at top of Sutton bank and head north along Cleveland way till you see the steps going down. Great for wild swimming if the water in warm enough.

The car park is only small but its never too busy. Do not miss the reservoir area as it has a beautiful flower meadow on its banks. Lots of birds and flora with long and short walks some quite hilly.

Easy walk round the Woods as mostly flat.....lucky enough to glimpse a deer crossing the path! Cycle track runs alongside so good for all . Unbelievable views from top overlooking Sutton Bank and Vale.
