The Cap has new owners, who seem determined to improve on previous ones. Food, both hot and cold, is served, in particular the ham cooked in cider. I went in at a lunchtime, it was quiet, but staff were friendly and welcoming. A few guest...More

Situated in this busy village near East Midlands Airport, this is a brilliant place to pop in for a great drink in the authentic village English pub - great find

I stumbled across the "Cap" whilst out walking and what a pleasant find it was. As a man over a certain age, it was like revisiting my early drinking year's as a youngster. I was pleasantly surprised to find a real traditional pub that still...More

A hidden gem in Kegworth. Great pint of Bass from the jug. Just Like pubs used to be. Well worth a visit.

Great bass from the jug (historically the pub's prime attraction) but limited other cask ales. Not open during the daytime in the week and doesn't do food (missed opportunities). With such little choice in Kegworth now, this pub is shooting itself in the foot.

This place has always been "famous" in the locality - famous for their great beer (still is) and their warm welcome (what happened to that). Cannot believe how the Landlord responded to me when I asked if I could taste one of the bitters. "Have...More
