Have been going here for years. The first place my tutor taught me rock climbing. Such a wonderful place to be. Out in the open, plenty of places to climb in all the elements

The natural beauty of this place has to be seen in person. Loved the rock outcrops and the views of the Peak District in the distance. The abandoned grind stones ad to the mistery of the landscape. Well worth the 4 hour hike around the...More

A lot of routes go up to the top, good if you have an OS map. If you walk to the very end (north) be aware that the path marked on the OS map seems to not exist and that instead the moorland will have...More

Very accessible either from a near car park or walking from Hathersage. The terrain is rocky in places but the views are stunning from the ridge.

There are lots of different ways to reach and explore the Edge. Recommend downloading the OS Maps app as you can then construct your own route live. We parked in the village and then did a big circular route out past Toothill far, up Callow...More

Bear in mind the Edge is very long, so some bits may not have coverage.
Where did you park and how long does it take to walk to High Neb where P&P was filmed? thanks

Follow the signs out of Hathersage for the edge up the quiet lane. Just beyond the cattle grid there is some limited parking. Parking here is approx 40 minutes walk to High Neb depending on your pace If parking full there... More
