A family walk before lunch. Parking is basically on the side of the road. Lots of people learning to climb up the rock face. It’s certainly good for a walk. Climb is gentle. One you reach the top (20 minutes) there are fabulous views across...More

What started as a quick jaunt to see the breathtaking views from this Edge, quickly progressed into a much longer circular walk. Park in the designated car park or along the road and a short walk takes you up to the. Edge. Stick to the...More

Enjoyed the steep but short climb to the top of Stannage Edge and the wonderful views over the Peak District. It was very peaceful up there! There is a car park at the top for those who don’t want to do the steeper track from...More

Perfect for walks and excellent views. We took hundreds of photos. It is not over crowded and you can walk for miles without meeting other people.

Parked at Surprise View car park and walked to highest point. Loved the large exposed rocks. Not a difficult walk with lots of paths and great views.

Not sure about the car park, certainly there's nothing near the top of the ridge. There isn't a way to the top that I would think suitable for anyone who didn't want to walk much. There is a less steep path but it is a... More

Bear in mind the Edge is very long, so some bits may not have coverage.
