This is part of the Trans-Pennine way and if you can think of a good reason for doing so you can walk from Liverpool to Hull, or vice-versa. This part has some lovely views especially up by the reservoirs and is mostly quite well maintained.

This trail is so boring. There is very little to view, it is poorly maintained, very muddy in places with dog mess in others.

This is great for walking cycling and running. Its reasonably flat and there are stunning views of the hills and the reservoirs. Good for the whole family.

Cycled up to the Woodhead Tunnel numerous times. Traffic free and is a nice place to walk the dogs. There are stunning views of the reservoirs, and benches to sit and admire the views along the way.

My husband and I have enjoyed walks along this trail. Well cared for, and gorgeous views. It will change your perspective on the area!

It's always a pleasure to take a walk along this trail. So many friendly people around. Not to taxing on the old bones. Pleasant :)

Excellent for cycling and dog walking. Plenty of good safe parking. Refreshments available at the Hadfield end. Train connections from Manchester.
