Was looking forward to playing this course after positive feedback. Very disappointed. The course was absolutely saturated and several of the tees and greens were in dreadful condition. Placing greens and tees in the shade is a major design fault as they don't get sufficient sunshine or wind to dry out and encourage growth. but the course looks amazing, stunning scenery. However we visited the on site cafe today and the home made cakes were wonderful and the tea was very nice and welcome.

Just played Eskdale with our society and we all thoroughly enjoyed our round. A really nice, quiet course which represents really good value for money. Lovely little tea shop opened up at the Golf Course. Handy for walkers, cyclists and golfers, or like us just went for the coffee/tea and cake and sitting out in the sunshine overlooking the golf course. Very friendly staff, looked after us well.

Played this course yesterday (20th July 2018). The views and interesting holes - especially on the back nine - more than make up for any lack of yardage. The course is fun to play with a mixture of easier and more challenging holes. It seemed well looked after, including the landscaping, and the owners/staff are friendly. Something of a hidden pleasure - well worth playing if you're nearby.…
